Great job, done in one day. Had French drain installed a couple of years ago, which was done well for reasonable price. First and only choice when needed this new drain pipe replacement. Happy to recommend.

I've had work done by Benjy before, and I will call on him again, when needed..  He is easy to work with, prompt when scheduled, and efficient.   He cleans up when the job is done, and the price is very reasonable.

Benjy had the best solution and he was worth waiting for.  I had other services come to the house and wanted to jack hammer up my basement!  Benjy concluded that the huge bushes around the foundation was causing an issue along with the gutter spouts not being directed away from the foundation.  He was very nice to work with, he even helped a neighbor of mine that is a wounded veteran move a few plants from my house to my neighbors house.   Benjy showed up when he said he would and the final cost was the same as his quote.
We had some heavy rain last night and no water in the basement.  The new extended gutters worked great.

I was provided pictures of all work completed and since I don't live in the state the owner offered to stop by now then to make sure our landscaper was removing leave to keep the drainage channels open. I offered to pay an extra maintenance fee and the owner said it was not necessary!!! Wow great service.

We are always happy to let the Dirt Dog do it! This is, at least, the 3rd time we used Let The Dirt Dog Do It--and we'll use Benji again when the situation arises. He always does an extremely professional job and makes suggestions for project enhancements. Hiss rates are competitive and 'dog gone it', he happens to be a nice guy!

He's a one-man show (usually), and can be a little difficult to contact.
But, once the schedule is set, communications are good.  And, good quality work is completed on schedule.

If you live in Tega Cay, you know erosion problems.  I had an erosion problem quickly deteriorating next to a 20' natural retaining wall.  Benjy gave an estimate based on his experience - before he could excavate the back yard to find what could be done.  We have a lot of underground drainage bc we live on a backfilled lot on a steep slope.  He took care of all prep (having the lines marked, getting permits, etc).  After escalating 4 ft over 20'x40' section of the lawn he improved the drainage design in some areas and added additional drainage in another.  He then compacted high quality fill to finish the job.  ... and he beat his original quote.  He is personable to work with and does quality work.  I would recommend him and have personally hired his advice and help for another project.

Benjy Gold owner of The Dirt Dogs did all the work.  To prevent damage to the utilities he dug about half of the ditch the hard way, with a shovel. The rest he dug with his excavator and removed the dirt to the front yard with his Ditch Witch. Benjy was very easy to work with.  He planted grass in the front yard . He has a great sense of humor and he is not rattled by surprises. He used his mechanical equipment to save time and effort.

Went very well.. it did take a day or 2 longer to complete but it was a HUGE job. So that was not really a problem.   The fact that he wasnt satisfied that it was finished until it truely was showed he was serious about doing it right.

During construction of our deck it was determined that engineered footers would be required.  I contacted Let The Dirt Dogs Do It to help get a deck construction project back on schedule. They have smaller scale equipment which was needed to get to where the footers were to be placed.  I was unable to get any concrete suppliers to show up and they used their contacts to get the job finished in just a couple of days.  They did a fantastic job minimizing lost time on the project.

After multiple delays in getting out here due to all this monsoon weather we've been having, once he was able to get here and get started, he completed the job in a couple of days, and boy was he thorough.  This job consisted of digging a trench the length of the sidewalk, boring under the sidewalk in 6 places, placing drainage pipes, hooking up all the downspouts to the pipes, covering it all with decorative rock.  All this was done by one man (the owner) and all his cool machinery.  We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.  I was actually hoping the rains would come again so I could see how well it works!

Benjy Gold was awesome. He communicated very well through email and text messages. I cent him pictures and he gave me an estimate. He showed up at the set time and did the work as expected. He was very professional and used the excavation machines in a very tight area without doing any damage to my house and did a very good job. I highly recommend using this company.

Honestly -- if you need anything done that requires an excavator or a Dingo / Bobcat, make one call -- call Benjy.
The first time we spoke he asked me if I could email him some pictures of the wall so that he could visualize the project before coming out to the house.  I thought this was brilliant -- I'm surprised more contractors don't do this.
He came out the first time to look at what I needed done, spent quality time scoping the project to provide a cost estimate, and walked me through what he was doing and how he thought it should be done.
His first work visit was excavating the wall.  This was done so well.  He's a master with the excavator, doesn't make any unnecessary mess when removing the dirt, and gets it done quickly.
During a few chats we had during the day, I talked about my plans for building the french drain and Benjy gave me lots of great advice on things to think about, techniques for building the drain, and guidance on products I should use.
The second visit was to help move the rock for the drain.  It's a long wall and I had to move 10 tons of rock (yes, 20,000 lbs).   Benjy used his Dingo / Bobcat to help drop the rock over the wall and that pile of rock was gone in no time.   (He even got my 4 year old daughter up on the Dingo so that we could take pictures!)
The third visit was to back fill the wall.  Again, a master with the excavating equipment.  The wall was back filled in no time and the ugly piles of dirt gone.
Benjy is great.  His work is top-notch, he's a great guy, his prices are very reasonable, and he's super easy to work with.   He met all of my needs, was easy to do business with, and overall it was a great experience.
Repeat:  if you need anything done that requires an excavator or a Dingo / Bobcat, make one call -- call Benjy.

I liked that they were completely open and honest. They came out and told us as to what the problem was and what they were going to do and what would be the price. There was no hard sell and no pressure to close. Their price was what I expected it to be and what they have done works. It is a small business and very laid-back and they also volunteer to take up community work and so the response is not always immediate. They probably need to work a little bit on responsiveness. They were here when they said they would come out. They are very professional.

Benjy Gold was very easy to reach as he utilizes phone, email and text messaging!  He set an appointment at a time which was convenient for me, was ontime, and gave me a cost estimate and schedule to begin work in that first visit.  We had then patio bricks delivered, and Benjy  had to move them out of his was before he could begin, which was going way above and beyond.  He worked quickly, and cleanly, and even made some recommendations which look fabulous and will save us work in the long run.

I'll call Benjy any/every time we need help.  Trust me... just Let The Dirt Dogs Do It!
