Very rude. No introduction when he came over, just a "the gas company shut off your water heater, you didn't pay the bill". Well, I explained, I just bought this house, was told it was all electric and had hot water for 2 months. Eyeroll and tapped the pipes "gas, gas, gas. You didn't pay the bill". Again, I was told by my realtor the house is all electric. Eyeroll again. "You will be paying $500 for not paying the bill". Ok, so I will call the gas company then. Had to pay the service fee even if there was no service. I said I was going to use the credit card and he said $103 with credit card. If he just told me the day before that there is an extra $3 for credit card, I could have just gone to the bank to withdraw cash. By the way, this is my first time to own a home with a tankless water heater and they were a contractor of 2-10 Choice Warranty.

Brandon from WJA Construction visited my home after I filed a claim with Choice Warranty regarding a leaking pipe under the crawl space. He encountered difficulties from the start because he needed to crawl under the house. I showed him two photos taken by the termite inspector that clearly depicted the leaks. However, instead of addressing the area with the leak, he took photos of other copper pipes that had green stains but were not leaking. My service request was for a single leaking pipe, not a full replacement of all the copper pipes in the house, as he suggested. Consequently, my claim was denied. When I called the company's helpline, the person I spoke with was unhelpful and sarcastic. I will not use this company for any future services. This appears to be a scam by WJA Construction, exploiting claims by charging an $85 service fee for just 10 minutes of work while knowing that Choice Warranty would deny the claim. Be cautious!"

I have Slow drainage in my Kitchen sink. The choice home warranty sends WJA to my house on 11/21/2022. Mr Lee came and dump half gallon chemical in left side of my sink. He did not let me explain the problem and did not do any diagnostic. My sink was functioning before he dumps the chemical. After that everything back up. The chemicals damage my steal sink (the color is dark now). He asked for plunge, and I could not find mine. I asked him if he is going to use Snake. He told me no because he concerns to break. He suggested hyderjetta and told me he is going to contact home warranty to taker of it. He left! After a couple hours i get a message from Home warranty that they do not cover my stoppage because the plumber use chemical and SNAKE ( Mr lee told them which was not true). I had to find another plumber to fix my problem because we need sink for thanksgiving holidays. I contacted Mr Bill the owner and told what WJA Construction 2124 Greenville Cir Sumter, SC 29154 USA 8038400812 If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the BBB assigned to your complaint: BBB Serving Central South Carolina & Charleston 2442 Devine St Columbia, SC 29205 (803) 254-2525 or (843) 766-9616 Better Business Bureau® 12/9/22, 10:48 AM File Complaint against WJA Construction | Better Business Bureau [*** Link removed ***] 2/3 happen. I asked him to contact home warranty and tell them what they did and also the damage. He asked me to send the picture and suggest using bleach which I already done it and it did not work. I called them several times no response. He did not call home warranty either. I am so disappointed with this company which were not honest and left me during holidays, they did not take responsibility for the action. I expect the owner call the home warranty and tell them what they have done (truly). I expect them to fix or reimburse for damage in the sink. Thank you.

Awful. WJA was sent by 2-10,Warranty so they were not my choice. For my $100 deductible I was told I needed a new hot water heater in spite of the fact that all the other hot water faucets in the house worked just fine. He adjusted (so he said) the adjustment screw in the shower and left quickly. When I stopped him from getting in his car after the hot water stopped again, he said “I’ve done all I can.” My home warranty company, 2-10 Warranty (stay away from them, too, by the way—especially Jennifer) wouldn’t help me find another plumber and denied my claim. I was left to find another plumber and paid him $500 to replace the faucet. If you read other reviews of WJA, you’ll see I’m not alone. Worst experience I’ve ever had with any company and I’ve built 3 houses!

Feb 20th It started off fine initially. The guy came out to diagnose the problem and he determined that we needed a new hot water heater by filling the bathtub I use regularly. He procrastinated about sending the diagnosis to warranty company but finally did on another day. The w/h was ordered and we waited and waited. They called to book a return on March 1 and I asked if they could come after 12 noon as he wanted to come at 9am. He told me to leave the garage door open and he’d come over and get it done. I’m not comfortable with that, as much of our belongings from the move are still in there plus we have an alarm. We finally agreed that he would come here between 10 & 11. That never happened. He called at 11:20 stating that he was still at the supplier waiting on them. Thats a 20 minutes drive, I figured so I fixed my lunch. Then next thing about 10 minutes later he was here with 2 hwh on the flat bed trailer. He was ambivalent about the wood railings around the tank and wouldn’t commit to not punching a whole in the wall that leads to the bedroom. He said it might happen by flinging the Hammer. Then he stated that he wouldn’t replace the railings. After hemming and hawing and calls to warranty company and spouse, and an attempt to call his boss. All while He too made phone calls to I don’t know who, and smoking his cigarettes. Hubby and I thought well, we’ll let him go ahead. Then he said he didn’t want to do it. I asked him to leave my water heater here then and he refused. He told me about another customer, I’m not sure why, but his boss told them to sue him. Very strange. Then he just drove off. This was really unprofessional of the company as they’d been here before a week and a half prior to access the tank in the garage. We don’t really want them back here. I’m not sure how this is going to resolve. I’m hopeful that the warranty company will just give us a buyout. Ugh! What a waste of time with a useless company.

We called them out to fix the leak. Six months later we had to call them out again to fix the leak and to fix a leak in the guest bathroom. The leak in bathroom led to my daughter's room, they did not fix the leaks properly, just patched them up. About six months later the water heater burst and flooded the kitchen ceiling causing the entire ceiling to collapse. We had a different company come out for the leak in the ceiling. When the other company came to let us know about the water heater, they suggested to replace the water heater. We called WJA Construction to evaluate and repair the water heater, they just patched it up. The other company found the leak that WJA Construction said they repaired. So we had to have the other company repair the water heater for us.
I would not recommend WJA Construction because they don't do quality work and their employees are unprofessional.

They traced the leak to the drain ring in my upstairs standing shower. They repaired it quickly and professionally. I haven't had any more stains on the ceiling appear since the repair.

We have home shield coverage. So the 60.00 was all we had to pay. The man came over on a Sunday with his kids. I find this admirable. I also was upset for interrupting his sunday and said this to him. He was very polite and efficient and had the hose fixed in no time flat. While we had to pull teeth to get the home coverage to find someone to come out on a weekend/sunday this man did so and worked out great.
