After signing a contract for the cleaning and balancing of our pool, they did not show up for 3 weeks.  It was excuse after excuse about the individuals that were supposed to show up.  First, it was the individual forgot.  Next it was he was out sick.  The third time was that they had fired the guy and were having to send someone else over.   In June we had to tear down our above ground pool, yet they tried to charge us for cleaning service that was not provided.  We informed them that the pool had been torn down and were considering buying an inground pool, so our contract was "put on hold" with no cleaning service.  Pool cleaner showed up the following week and left since there was no pool to clean, yet they still tried to charge us for a pool cleaning.  After inquiring about the prices on their pools, was told they could not come down on the prices, so we went to another store in town and found the same size pool for $8K less.  Once we made that decision we agreed to pay the early termination fee on our contracting fee, but they tried to charge us for cleaning services on the above ground pool after it was removed.  I do not recommend using Waterworks.  Attitude of the people working there drove me to use another business.
Response from WATERWORKS POOLS & SPAS
"Dear [member name removed], I am so sorry that this happened with our company. We did have a scheduling problem during our busy season and this no excuse so please forgive us. We strive to be the best in our Industry. I understand that all companies have different prices but like I said we strive to be the best and we do not sell the cheap pool and that’s not what we want our reputation to be. The charge for the pool cleaning after the pool was taken down was not charged it was taken off of your bill. The early termination was because you were locked into a 1 yr contract that was not fulfilled. Once again I am sorry for the problem that you had with our company and we hope that maybe you will try us out again in the future. Thank You, WaterWorks Pools And Spas waterworkscompany.com 1236 Alice Dr Sumter, SC 29150 803-469-6617"

Scheduled an install for July 7 for an above ground pool. Installers called at 815am and said they would be there around 9, and they were. Upon seeing my yard and with the recent storms, noticed it was very soft. Were more concerned with tearing up my yard than anything. Laid tiles on grass to minimize damage. Did not have to do much other than till up existing sod, and scrape about 4 inches. Men were very professional and even moved sod/dirt to multiple places on property. Very detailed and neat. Explained every step to me when I asked as I have never had a pool before. After 5 hours, my pool was up and filling with water. Solid construction, and pump placement great. They involved my whole family with location, etc. Just to make sure it was where we wanted it. Kevin and Bill were two of the names I remembered, and take it from me - these guys will go out of their way to ensure the customer is more than satisfied! Will definitely recommend WaterWorks to others, as it was recommended to me by coworkers. Great experience!

first thing was the concrete had to be fix so waterworks  recommend that i used NEW TECH concrete designs to do the work because the concrete was so bad in areas it was discolor and rough,  have very bad cracks that needed to be fix along with  cantilever  bull-nose needed to be build back up along with a area in front of the back door ( bird bath) were the rain water settle.   the concrete was completely  recovered by spray deck and then added pattern flag stone stencil to cover or hide  the  fixed concrete.then they re -spray  again. costing over $4000.00 but at the end of the five days it looks really good and they did a excellent job! second thing was waterworks came out and started to take out the old liner WHAT A MESS THAT WAS, MORE THEY WORKED ON THE POOL THE MORE THINGS THEY FOUND WRONG WHAT A NIGHT-MERE BUT ERIC HAD TO  REASSURE ME "IT GOING TO BE OK STOP STRESSING WE WILL GET IT RIGHT FOR YOU" SO UNDERSTANDING  WHEN THE  OLD LINER  WAS OUT OF  THE POOL WE FOUND HOLES IN THE POOL ERIC FIX THEM FREE OF COST  HE FIX THE LIGHT.THE NEW LINER WENT IN THE POOL IT TOOK HOURS TO GET IT RIGHT  BUT THE STAFF DIDN'T STOP UNTIL THEY GOT RIGHT ( NO FAULT ON THERE PART THE LINER TRACKING WAS BAD IN SPOTS FROM THE PREVIOUS LINER WHAT WAS INSTALLED ) THE FINISH RESULTS LOOKS GREAT THE STAFF DID EXCELLENT JOB. ERIC SOLD ME A SALT WATER CHLORINATOR BEST THING I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE . THE BEST THING IS ERIC SUPPLIED ALL THE CHEMICALS FREE. ERIC  HAS SEVERAL TIMES TOOK THE INITIATIVE TO  DROP BY WITHOUT ASKING JUST TO CHECK ON THE POOL  .TO THIS DAY ERIC WILL CALL ONCE IN A WHILE TO SEE IF EVERYTHING IS OK WITH THE POOL.  THIS MEANS A LOT  ON A FINIAL NOTE:- I WOULD RECOMMEND WATERWORKS AND ITS STAFF TO ANYONE THIS IS A COMPANY YOU CAN TRUST  THEY WILL DO THEIR VERY BEST TO GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME AND STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK AND  THEY DO BELIEVE IN 100% CUSTOMERS SATISFACTION!

I called this company to ask if they could help me clean my pool. They came over the next day and did a great job of testing the water, adding chemicals, adding water, and cleaning the pool. The owner of the company is great about calling me if there are any problems or suggestions.

The company blamed us for everything that went wrong with the install to include installing the pool six inches below grade. To which when it rained I had 4 inches of mud in the bottom of the pool that had to be sucked out. This happened twice and finally got an employee working for the company to explain to the owner that it was graded wrong and they left 30 yards of extra dirt around the pool that wasn't helping matters. To make a long story short because the internet isn't big enough to tell it, Water works finally graded the yard and gave me pennies on the dollar for me to construce a brick wall around the pool area to keep the water out. To top it off by some miracle of fate (or paying someone off ) they were voted the best pool company in Sumter. Byer beware! Find a licensed contractor!
