Furthermmore, they didn't complete the job at all, so I told them I would withold the payment until the owner of the company returned my call. Instead of receiving a return call, I was sent an email demanding the rest of the payment with late fees added to it. This is frustrating since no payment is actually necessary until June 10. Ultimately, my husband and I had to travel to the property and take care of the lawn ourselves.
Update:
Since I have been contacted by Tony Hunter 1.888.861.4338 with Rump son & Bolden Associates for collections on invoice 9595 dated May 12, 2011 reference Thames Lawn Care & Pressure Washing. Please be advised. This invoice was submitted for collections before the actual contract date June 10th for services in the month of May. I ask Tony to read the contract for Thames Lawn Care and point out to me where it stated that I had to PAY the first service before they could continue service on my contract. Also, she stated Thames Lawn Care should have not start charging me late fees on this invoice...since it's not due until June 10th. Tony contacted the owner while I was on the phone with her trying to get the owner to accept my offer for $50.00 to closed out the $ 70.00 invoice. Per Tony...the owner refused my offer and choose to pursue with suit against the invoice amount for $218.00 with outrageous fees. And, not to contact them. After hanging up with Tony. I took another call. During that call I receive a beep from my caller ID from the office manager Carla Morse 803.481.2344 at 12:50pm. After my last call, I check my voice messages. Again another hang up call NO messages. I phone Tony back and told her what happened. This is a form of harassment with intentions to intimidate. You claim you call and left messages on my voice. Instead, I got a number of hang up calls. First, you demand a copy of my key. When you didn't receive a copy . In return you retaliate with this typ of behavior. Second, you demand for payment before the contract due date. Third, you stop my services. Knowing my contract is setup twice a month.
"Please go to our site and view our client list. We ave been in business in the same town for almost 20 yrs. We have never had a single complaint filed EVER before. We take care of our customers and only ask that we be paid for work completed. She is a scam artist who set out to trick us into completing work that she never intended to pay for. We caught onto her before she could get everything done that she wanted and she is angry we caught her. Do you think we'd be doing work for the Chamber of Commerce, SC government agencies, YMCA, Churches, state-wide corporations, even our state Senator if we were not a highly professional, dependable honest co? Would Sumter SC citizens year after year vote us the "Best Landscape Service in Sumter"? You be the judge. Carla Morse-Office Manager"
