I wouldn't advise anyone to use them. They quoted me one price, which I was okay with that price. I had budgeted for about $200 more than what they said. I had to pack everything myself and take it to the house. The only things they had to do was like move two beds, three dressers and two TV. So the big stuff, but it wasn't a lot of stuff. They originally quoted me $538, but they ended up charging me $1,000. They came at 8:00 a.m. and took all day to do it. They didn't get through until about 4:00. When I got to my new home, one of them asked to use the bathroom. My daughter went in after him and there was urine all over the seat. It was really bad. He had lost the screws for something and didn't know where he put them. He argued with me that he gave them to me, when he didn't. They ended up putting something together with only a couple of screws. They were very unprofessional and unorganized. They got into an argument in my house and cussed and threatened each other. They said that was just the way they talked. They scratched the floor on the house that I moved from, which I was renting. It was just a nightmare. I felt like I hired the Three Stooges. I called the manager to inform her of everything that happened and told her I felt like they overcharged me. She told me the $538 was only for a quote. I told her I understand that and had even budgeted for $200 more. She said it was because of the hours that they took. I told her they took longer than they needed to and that the small amount of stuff that had to take shouldn't have taken them all day to do that. I told her they scratched my floor and the worker left urine all over my toilet. She said, "Well, what do you want me to do about it?" I told her they were very unprofessional and should take a class in customer service. I asked for their corporate office number and she told me she was the corporate office. I told her I was going to get all my military friends and others to not use them. She said, "Well, if that what makes you feel better," and she hung up the phone.

They were efficient, generally careful, and on time even though it was snowing in Minnesota.

This moving company is great!  I have had 5 major military moves, so I have dealt with multiple companies, and Harkins is top notch!  Was going to have to wait 2 weeks to have household goods delivered, got a phone call due a cancellation and they were there an hour later.  Will be using them again for an upcoming local move.

They are very good about keeping in touch and letting you know how things are going with your storage and all that.

Harkins was very professional.  The 4 man team packed, tagged, and moved all of our belongings in one day and then moved those same belongings into a new home about 200 miles away intrastate.  I would use them again as they worked hard, were very professional, and we incurred no breakage!
Would heartily recommend this company.
