About us
We are a local Summerville, SC family owned business with over 25 years experience in the garage door industry. My wife Michelle and I appreciate the year round warm weather in South Carolina. We like to frequent the nearby beaches, namely Kiawah Island's Beachwalker Park, Folly Beach, Isle of Palms and Sullivans Island. We enjoy golf and tennis (but can improve in both). We are members of the Summerville Chamber of Commerce, where they treat us like extended family. We like to support our local businesses and farmers and also support our local high school football team and cheerleaders. Go Green Wave! We are fortunate that downtown Charleston is just a short 30 minutes from our door and try to take advantage of all that it has to offer as often as possible. We like to soak in its history, shopping, and dining. We are members of South Carolina Aquarium, where we like to take our 3 children. We consider the lowcountry the perfect place to raise our family!

John called to let me know he was on his way and showed up at the scheduled time. During the scheduling process, he was the only person that could give me an actual price without coming out and charging the $65 service fee first. He was very friendly, efficient, and thorough! They got in and out in about 30 minutes. He replaced both springs, greased everything, and then checked the alignment multiple times to make sure the garage door was working perfectly!

John from DocDoor replaced our 30-year old, wooden garage doors with 2 new, insulated garage doors and new garage door openers. We've had them for nearly 6 months now. He did an excellent and swift job and provided some training on how to use the new system. We are very pleased with the work he provided.

The service was excellent, I received a return email within minutes, on site service very quickly, extreamly professional and courteous. I used John over a year ago to fix doors and he was fantastic, pricing, attitude, all wonderful. I actually called him back to help me with a small project on shelving and he agreed and i couldnt be happier with what he did for me. Garage now looks great.

Hands down, the best service you'll probably ever receive. John Guido, the owner, promptly returned my initial call, and was courteous and professional as we set up an appointment for an estimate. His arrival was on-time; the estimate was carefully crafted, completed and emailed to us within two days. After accepting the estimate our doors were ordered. Mr. Guido called when the doors arrived and we set up an installation date. On installation day Mr. Guido arrived on-time and completed all the work within four hours. The quality of both the garage doors and workmanship is outstanding. The installation was flawless. Honestly, this is a genuine Five Star company!

Our garage door opener failed suddenly Friday night. We were resigned to waiting until Monday and then decided to look on Angie's list since we recently opened an account. We found Docdoor, highly reviewed, who was not only open Friday night but offered Saturday hours. We called, described the problem, made an appointment for Saturday morning. He called a half hour before the appointment, arrived on time, fixed the problem, looked at the other door that we had been having a minor problem with and diagnosed and fixed that one too. We have never had service that prompt.

Well our garage door broke last night so this morning I got on Angie's list and found 1 company. My husband called them and got a voice mail ?. He left a message. I scrolled further down and found Docdoor so my husband called, John answered and said he would be out between 2 and 3. Meanwhile the first company called back, sorry for them. John was out at 2:30. Fixed our problem better than we could've asked for. He went above and beyond!! He greased everything tightened up our opener on the wall he even cleaned it!! He fixed things he didn't even have fix. Now my dogs Mojo and Shay are happy again to be able to hang out in the garage again with the door open. He was everything he stated in his bio and more. Shop local businesses and use local businesses.
