It was a bad experience. The technician who came out first did not do a complete dishwasher inspection but told me he had to order a special part over the holidays. I found out later that it was not really the part that he ordered that was causing the problem; it was another issue which he would have found out if he had done a proper inspection. He was lazy. Also the motor he put in was not the right motor so it took about four months to get my dishwasher running again. The company finally sent two more guys out to properly fix my machine but I will not use them again in the future.

Everything was great. I liked the fact that Appliance Doctor charged a flat rate for the diagnosis and then offered me the option of repairing the issue myself or having the company do the repairs.

I have used these people twice, with poor results each time, and will not dial their number again. I will start with the last time I tried to get work done. In January 2011 I had trouble with my washing machine. Called and a technician was out the same day. I was charged for the service call and they said a new motherboard was needed. I told them my budget was tight but since the machine was still working I would keep using it but would call them back soon. No one at AD made any mention that I had any certain amount of time to complete the work before incurring a new service charge. On May 12, I called, spoke with Cynthia. She said she would get back to me but never did. I called today (5/16/11), and Cynthia said (1) she had "forgotten" to call me back; (2) AD would have to start the repair process all over again, with a new service call, and they could give me no credit for what I had paid in January. Hard nosed company, I say. Since they could not be bothered calling me back, I had no interest in getting them to repair the washing machine. Here's the first time: Lowe's referred me to AD to install a brand new Bosch Dishwasher I purchased from Lowe's in May 2009 and Appliance Doctor installed it. Shortly after purchase, I had trouble getting it to start. Appliance Doctor came out three times, fiddled with it, then finally gave up and told me I would have to deal directly with Lowe's. Here's what AD did during their visits: (1) stood over me (for all their visits) to make sure I was pushing the buttons correctly (no, AD, I am not stupid); (2) called Bosch Technical Support while AD was at my house to find out what was wrong; (3) tilted machine, told me it was not level; (4) ordered new motherboard and installed it. The dishwasher still will not start when I first push the button. Sometimes it takes several pushes for it to start. Lowe's would not repair it without charging extra so I am stuck with it. I will not buy anything from Lowe's any more if they have to give the sub-contracting to Appliance Doctor and will verify before buying any new appliances. I gave Appliance Doctor two chances, and that is all they get. There are many honorable appliance repair people out there who know their stuff. These people don't know what they are doing, and I think their Customer Service is non-existent. Maybe my review will save someone else headache and wasting time.

They came and got the dyer fixed quickly and left. I have a baby and the technician told me that I had dropped something and she picked it up for me. She was really nice. I would use them in the future.
