I found Jamie the owner of Alpha to be real cool when we met. We thoroughly discussed the plans and he offered a price that seemed highish considering that I would be doing the clean-up (which took four hours), but hey, I can't really climb that oak myself, so I paid his requested amount. He had to cancel the day-of - about an hour late in fact. He made it over a couple days later. Did a good job cutting, was safe and all that. We seem to have had a miscommunication about when he would finish; I told him "Why don't you go ahead and go" after a while. He said "Don't you want us to do that?" (pointing to the last part of the job - above the garage). I said "Nah I can take care of it." Turns out I thought he was referring to the pile of felled branches, and he was apparently referring to the last part of the job. I suppose I forgot about that part. So it was kinda 50/50. But his ability to communicate with me and get back out here to finish what I paid him for was seriously lacking. I have now written him off, expecting he won't make it.

Called on a Friday. Came on the following Wednesday. Was there less than an hour and did a thorough job removing the stump.
