We ordered and paid for the granite in January, then had a delay waiting for sub-zero freezer drawers, so didn't install the slab until September.  The team was on-time in installing the slab, it was a 15 minute job.  The installers left a coating of white liquid on the counter-top which they told us to wipe off after it dried to clean the counter-top.  When we did we found that there was a small area where the granite polish was missing (or at least not shining like the rest of the slab.)  What would seemingly be a small fix for them to come and polish the missing area became a source of contention.  When I was finally able to get Karen on the phone, she brusquely dismissed me, saying first that I didn't know what I was talking about since they "didn't polish the slab at all"  and secondly that the counter-tops were as-is.  She was quite unpleasant in refusing to stand behind her product, and then insulted me further by referring to me with three different names in a rude 3 minute conversation.  Thinking that I must have done something to get on her bad side (only spoke to her that time) I tried to have my contractor call her, since he had selected her.  She wouldn't return his calls over two months.  I saw other reviews here who said that the service, and Karen were excellent, and the install was great.  So if you feel you have to use this company I would strongly recommend you go to the shop, personally inspect the slab in great detail before it leaves their shop.

I was going to install granite and was using another company and decided not to use that other company. I randomly stopped by Affordable Granite to see what they could offer me. From the minute I met the owner ,Dale Green, the process was exceptional. He educated me on granite, gave me brochures with info. and recommended 3 granite suppliers to check out. It was apparent he was very knowledgeable. I was only home an hour when Karen Green contacted me and thanked me for stopping by, and asked if I had any questions. That really impressed me. My husband and I easily picked out beautiful slabs at Vitoria, and the process continued. Affordable obtained my granite slabs and called me to come and inspect them to make sure they had the correct granite and that it checked out well. I was so impressed with their process. Dale then came out a few days later and custom made my templates for my counters. He is an extreme perfectionist and it shows. A week later Dale and Chris came out to install my counters and bathroom vanity, and I cannot stress how everything went wonderful. They had a few glitches, but they corrected everything, and I did not know or stress with anything. I tried to stay out of their way, cause I knew they would make everything right. The end product was above and beyond my expectations! Dale and Chris worked nonstop all day. They were both very pleasant and very hard workers. Dale did the extras that impressed me. He added more granite behind my sink as a backsplash-wonderful, he extended my peninsula a few more inches, he sealed a hall vanity that I have tried to seal times 3 with his sealant, and he and Karen worked with me to adjust the price a bit. This was a wonderful experience and I would definitely use Affordale Granite again!!!! I will be telling all my friends about them.

Affordable Granit provided exceptional professional service throughout the entire process.  They provided advice on selecting a stone to going "above and beyond" in fabrication and installation.   Specifics: Two of my counter tops were very long and most other (if not all) fabricators would have cut them into two pieces. That, of course, meant two seams would have been required (of course no one wants a seam).  Affordable granite decided they would cut each of them into single pieces, to avoid any seems and provide the best looking product for me.  The counters are beautiful, and I have recommend them to friends, co-workers and family.   This is a privately owned husband and wife company, and they have been working granite for nearly 30 years. Their entire staff is polite and respectful, so If you want a quality job, give them a call!

Excellent service. Friendly, professional, accommodating. Found exactly what we were looking for at their location on Ladson Road. Always on-time at our home. Installers were prompt, did excellent job installing a very heavy top. would definitely recommend.

This company goes above and beyond to make sure the customer is happy and the service is A+. Dale and Karen do all the little things that matter that you actually don`t see. It is not about installing the product and getting out, they take pride in their work and will not leave till the job is complete. I was completely satisfied and will use them for my bathroom counters in the future. Use this company, they are not the cheapest but are the best!! you will not be disappointed.

Karen from Affordable Granite first helped in directing us to several warehouses for the selection of our granite. Then when it was delivered, Affordable Granite personnel inspected it and found imperfections in one slab, showed us, and asked that we go back to the warehouse and pick another slab. When it was delivered Mike at Affordable Granite reviewed it with my wife, Mike was satisfied with the quality of the slab but my wife was concerned about a couple of "veins" in the granite. Mike assured my wife that care would be taken to cut around the veins so that they would not be a part of the final product. We received a contract from Karen that we felt provided competitive pricing.
We were both anxious for our new granite while Dale was in our home developing his pattern and explaining what they would do. He explained that they would embed steel rods in the under side of the granite in both the front and back of the sink for strength and that not only an adhesive would be used to hold the sink in but they would also embed anchors in the underside and use steel clamps. He explained that sometimes they are called to repair sinks where only an adhesive is used and the sinks fell out. They also added extra support under our cooktop stove and applied a "twenty year" sealer once completed. Our primary countertop is built in an "L" shape with the sink leg being 10 feet long and the leg with the cooktop being 9 feet long. The countertop was built in only two pieces with the largest covering the longest counter and down to the middle of the cooktop stove side. The technician at Affordable Granite used the color of the specks in the granite and a lot of skill and installed the countertop with only one seem that cannot be seen. Everything was installed in a single day and all care was taken not to harm anything in our home.
Karen also directed us to a plumber/ technician that provided an excellent job in coming in behind them and reconnecting our plumbing and cooktop stove.

We couldn't be happier! Every time I look at my new granite countertops, I smile and thank heaven I went to this business (there are other granite companies in the area featuring horror stories via Angie's List and the Internet). If all contractors in different occupations were as professional as AF, nobody would have any disputes that end up in court or unresolved. I visited other granite installers before finding AG, including big box stores, and am so glad I decided to go with this family-owned business. Their prices were comparable to those stores, and I would bet the end result of those stores would not have looked as pretty as ours. We decided to do our own backsplash and will attach photos when that is done, as we want to show off the beautiful job done by AF. We really like the end result: the countertops were carefully measured, and one small seam was very carefully matched up to continue the pattern where it met.
All members of their retinue are polite and professional, even the plumber they recommend to install faucets. I also can't say enough about the good advice all were able to provide even about color and style; if it hadn't been for them (especially Mrs. Green), I might have purchased a color that would not have complemented my kitchen at all. Karen told me each and every step of the process, even patiently reminding me if I forgot. If there were a change in price due to changes in measurements or other factors, you will be advised of that ahead of time - no surprises! I also can't rave enough about the professionalism and punctuality of the crew: when they say they will be at your home at a certain time, they show up when scheduled or call if they need to change the appointment. No waiting around your house to see if somebody will show up and maybe being disappointed or angry - AF people know their customers have other things to do and respect that. Oh, and they're all pretty friendly and nice too! To me, anyway, it's great to hire a family business and know your money isn't going to a big corporation that doesn't care much about the end result of the work. Dale, Karen, and crew DO care whether you are happy or not. They truly deserve all their excellent ratings.

I was so impressed with Affordable Granite. Of all the companies I contacted, Karen at Affordable Granite was by far the best in terms of responding to my questions and providing professional assistance. The whole process was seamless and smooth from start to finish and Karen's efforts and organization were instrumental! Dale and his team did wonderful work with the granite and I am so pleased with the results. I will definitely be using their services again when it comes time to remodel my bathrooms. I would not hesitate to enthusiastically recommend them to anyone interested in having stone work done. A++ experience!

We had an outstanding overall experience with Affordable Granite. When we walked in the office, we knew very little about the process. Karen explained in detail what was involved, the steps in the process, how long it would take and the variables affecting the cost. She gave us two granite distributors to visit to select our granite and we provided her with basic measurements so she could give us a quote. After deciding on the slab we wanted, we went back to her office to see the actual slab which would be used in our kitchen and sign the contract.
Within a week, Karen's husband Dale came to the house to make a template of our exact kitchen layout. This is an important step and one which most granite contractors don't perform. It virtually assures that the finished product will fit properly. After one more week their son and another worker brought the cut pieces and new sink and installed them beautifully. Later that day a plumber who they arranged came and connected the faucet. After about five hours, we had a beautiful new kitchen.
Karen, Dale and their team do a wonderful job from start to finish -- thorough, very professional and of high quality. Although we did not obtain competitive quotes, I'm certain the price was reasonable from what I know about granite installations. I would highly recommend these folks to anyone looking to upgrade their kitchen with new granite countertops.

I arrived at Affordable Granite unsure how the process worked. I was met with friendly, helpful service. A package of information was reviewed with step by step instruction. The next step was to pick out my granite. I was given the names of several places to check. I went to check out the granite & picked my slab. It was easy & the granite dealer (Vittoria) did all Iof the paperwork & sent it to Affordable Granite via fax. We measured our counters & e-mailed the dimensions. Within an hour we had our estimate with the 3 granite slabs we liked best. We decided which we wanted & the slab was ordered. 4 days later, templates were made of my counters & a week later the counters were installed. Installation was complete in one day. They removed my old countertops, installed the granite countertops, called the pre-arranged plumber (they had previously taken care of this for us). The plumber arrived, hooked up our new sink, faucet & garbage disposal. We were ready to use our kitchen by 6pm. The kitchen is BEAUTIFUL!!

They were fast, punctual, and the lowest price of approximately three quotes we received. They were able to help us lower the cost by cutting one slab into three pieces that completely cover the two areas. The one seam in the counter was very well matched and difficult to see. They also offered some important tips to help assure a good and long-lasting result.

After a recent installation of a new sink and small granite fiasco of a piece of custom granite that the plumbers accidentally broke off, Affordable Granite came to the rescue.....in terms of their super-quick response time, fair pricing, professionalism and their wonderful expertise and craftsmanship. Dale was able to troubleshoot this issue and repair and prepare the granite for the new sink with no troubles and he and his team worked well with the plumbers in terms of collaborating.
