AAA Carolinas Year - Summerville

Oil service performed as promised. My only issue is that my car had run fine for 10 years, with regular maintenance and care, until this visit. Within 2 hours my transmission started making horrible noises and I had the car towed to a REAL transmission shop to limit damage. Transmission work was $2800. I can't prove the mechanical failure was related to my oil change, nor was I dumb enough to accuse anyone of "breaking my car" and I am NOT saying an oil change was related, however I DON'T believe in coincidence and I do believe in cause and effect. I also believe that by dropping a car while on a hydraulic lift and/or ramming the gears by accident, and not telling the customer and hiding your mistakes is so unprofessional. My "normal wear and tear" was stressed from something that occurred. I think shops that go and pull wires, take out filters, and "fiddle" with everything under the hood, on every make of car, are most surely not qualified to do these activities and #2 taking a huge risk of breaking something and passing 100% of that risk onto you. Instead of "if it ain't broken don't try to fix it" policy they plunder around, take off your tires, etc. etc. trying to find something else to charge you for, and the whole time making you wait longer for this "courtesy check" , and not giving you the option to deny such activities, and truly is a terrible practice. I am not sure why I ever went there to begin with except for that consistent COUPON mailer. It's time for these guys to reevaluate their purpose and start over. I wouldn't trust this shop to even put air in my tires, a $2800 bill stings a lot.

Oil change and brake check was fine.  We had used them for approx. 2 yrs and most every time we went there for oil changes they found something else that was wrong.  We also felt they overcharged.  We realized that they were "finding things wrong" where actually nothing was wrong.  There prices were also high.

Our vehicle was taken to AAA Car Care Center Summerville SuperStore because of their better price (after taking it to another car repair location who only diagnosed the problem).  While we told the service manager what we were told at the other car repair center about their belief of the problem, we were under the assumption they would do their own diagnosis sis the car was now in their care.  We were told the fuel pump was bad (what the other center told us, also) and they would fix it.
After they fixed the problem they called us to say there was an "additional issue," which as also had fixed.  It was some type of electrical sensor.  We picked up the car and drove it for about a week, when suddenly the car died again.  It was towed, again, to the AAA Car Care Center.  It was then that we were told the problem WAS NOT THE FUEL PUMP, but an additional electrical problem.  It was, in fact, related to the "additional issue" that we were told about (and had fixed) before. 
When questioned about the fuel pump, we were told that they fixed "what we told them was wrong," which, in fact, means they DID NOT DO ANY DIAGNOSIS OF THEIR OWN.  No allowances were made to correct the fact that they fixed the incorrect part...we were, in fact, asked to pay the ENTIRE amount to fix the new (original) problem.
Corporate AAA has been contacted and is investigation the issue.  I will update with new details, but we will not be having our car fixed at THIS location!

They are prompt and quick. All the guys are very professional and courteous.

Good oil change, but recommended I immediately do over $2200 work;. Said everything was critical. I went to another shop which said only about $700 of the work was critical for safety.
I don't trust these people!

If you are a AAA member you get a 10% discount, and they guarantee the labor for two years or 24,000 miles. You can't beat that.

It didn't go well. It took much longer than expected. My appointment was for 10:00 in the morning, but I didn't leave until 2:00 in the afternoon.
