They've been through a death with me when I lost one of my dogs. There's always an emergency number in place when they are closed. There is another vet that covers for them. It's not like to don't have a place to go if you have a true emergency. They also have by appointments and every Saturday they have open hours which are first come, first serviced basis. If you have to sit and wait, they will tell you the reason. The vet interacts will with our pets.

Pretty well. Dr. Shari Nichols Cudd, the sole vetinarian and owner of this practice, is a very caring, comprehensive vetinarian. I think the prices are a bit high, but as I haven't used a different vet for our past two dogs, I have no basis for comparison, so I may be wrong. She and her staff are always very kind and gentle with my little Jack Russell/Chihuaha mix, Tater Tot, who at 15 pounds and even at 9.5 years old is still a bit of a live wire at home, but is quite shy and quiet at the vet's office.

She was also the vet for our prior dog, a purebred Shih Tzu named Gizzmo my late brother bought in 1992. He passed when Gizzmo was 4 years old, and so my mother and I were her caregivers from that point, and always took her to the vet. When Gizzmo got about 11, she developed inoperable intestinal cancer, and we monitered her, and had to put her down at 12.5. Dr. Cudd was VERY compassionate to both the dog and us, and sent us a sympathy card after she had to put Gizzmo down when she could no longer eat.

You have an appointment to see Dr. Cudd and they schedule it so when you get there, they're ready for you. You can go in on Saturday mornings, sign in and wait in line. I kinda like that method. She is especially good with animals. She is very calm and soothing. She talks to your animal and lets them sniff everything before she uses it on them. She's got an abundance of patience and she takes her time with them. My dogs are not afraid of her at all.

Dr. Shari Nichols Cudd and her staff are always very friendly, kind and thorough with my dog, and our previous dog. We've been clients since 1992. I think the prices are a bit high, but as I've not checked prices at other veterinarians, I have no basis for comparison. Dr. Cudd definitely delivers compassionate care to the animals in her care, at any rate, and usually has several office pets around, including a long-standing parrot named and quot;Docand quot; who perches above an alcove on one side of the lobby and will actually talk when he feels like it (hard to get him to if he doesn't feel like it).
Dr. Cudd doesn't like writing prescriptions for medicines to be filled online, though, as she says they use gray market and/or out-of-date meds. She prefers to sell them herself. I did get her to write one for heart-worm medicine sold by the Wal-Mart pharmacy earlier this year, however.
