Their price was good, but one of the roofs leaked. They came out one time and performed a repair, but the roof continued to leak. Even though the roof was supposed to have a limited lifetime warranty, we were unable to get Gavins Construction to come back out a second time to fix the leak. We had to pay another company $1420 to repair the problem. At the second house, they were supposed to do interior renovations for us. They needed to install some electrical boxes, insulate and sheetrock a room over the garage. The electrical work was done incorrectly and tripped the breakers when they were turned on. It had to be re-wired. They had no idea how to insulate the room properly and the sheetrock was hung incorrectly and so poorly that they couldn't get the room spackled. We had to hire another contractor and pay him $750 to fix the problems caused by Gavins Construction. They pressure washed the vinyl siding and deck on the back of the property. The deck was washed with the wrong nozzle and they ruined the wood, causing us a $1000 repair/replacement of the deck. We had to fire Gavins Construction, LLC and find another contractor to finish the work. The most aggravating part of working with Gavins was the lack of communication and work ethic. Mr. Sanchez would promise to be at the job on a given day and time, and then never show up, never call, and never answer our calls to find out where he was. He would disappear for three to four days at a time with no communication. On one occasion, I had to call him 23 times in a row before he picked up the telephone. We gave him every opportunity to continue to work for us and correct the problems, but he was unable to follow through on any of his promises. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS CONTRACTOR TO ANYONE!!!
