Technician came first time to assess the problem; he identified the problem, but didn't have the part with him. Made appointment to come back late the next day. Near the end of the appointment time, they called to say they would not be able to come because parts store was closed. I felt this inconvenience could have been avoided if they had checked earlier with the parts store to make sure it was open. Made appointment for a 3rd visit; technician came late, with the part, but was unable to make the repair, and did not understand what the problem was. Gave me his promise he would check into it and call me back in a few days. Never called, did not return my call. I ended up calling up and speaking to the owner, and told him I was not satisfied with the experience. He was kind and apologetic, and did not charge me for the 2 service calls.

Negatives: I was disappointed at the lack of punctuality, at the inconvenience of staying home 3 different times (one of which was for nothing, since they did not show up), and in the end not having the repair done. I felt the owner could have been more responsive to what I think was a legitimate complaint.

Positives: Both technicians were courteous and professional. I appreciated the fact that there was no charge for the 2 unsuccessful service calls.

Called for a remote that stopped working and needed basic maint. They came out same day. Hadn't serviced doors since installation 9 years ago. Russell recommended converting to torsion system from spring/pulley on both. Had conversion done on both doors, serviced both doors, rollers replaced. Gave an extremely high price, he called office for authorization to alter price. Still have a feeling it was probably overpriced at $670 plus tax. However, great service, professional, clean, doors feel much more stable and there is less overhead clutter after conversion, and I have a remote that works. Was nice to have it all done in one visit.

Called the office at 5:45 on the previous day. Expected to get a machine but got the boss. Explained that I had a usless garage door opener and he scheduled an appt for the next day. Tech showed up and indicated that the cost to diagnose and fix would be nearly the same as a new product based on part cost, etc. Suggested a new one be put in. i should say that he would have offered to at least look at it but Genie had sent me a couple of boards to try and fix the problem, but neglected to tell me that because I opened the unit it voided the service warranty. Needless to say, never buy a Genie and always do business with Access be cause in less than 24 hrs from the 1st call, I had a new, programmed opener in working condition. The tech even programmed the homelink buttons on the cars so that the openers could be used in the event the the other ones are in the shop. THis is the best service experience I have had bar none...

I was glad to get it done so promptly, and we definitely left it too long. A broken spring could be dangerous and by not servicing the doors we could have caused damage to the doors and openers. I was not expecting it to be so expensive, but apparently most of that was the parts; the pulleys were especially expensive. I asked how often we should get the doors serviced, and he said every 6 months but he explained that that involved snugging down all screws and using WD40 on the pulley bearings, which a homeowner could do themselves. A professional would only need to check it once a year or 18 months. He also said springs would last longer if you keep the doors open when possible.

Cause of the problem not clear. Technician willing to spend time and effort experimenting with a potential fix, which failed. Spent 90 minutes trying to save the unit which had to be replaced. Work done the following morning. Both appointments kept on time. Cost of the new unit plus installation was very reasonable and professionally done. Both technicians were very professional. Would reccommend without reservation.

Prompt and professional service. Alex, the service man, actually arrived early the first day and was friendly and courtious. A bent trolley had resulted over time in a stripped gear in the operator. After installation of a new gear and sprocket set, the Liftmaster Operator did not work at all and a replacement unit was ordered to be installed the following day. Everything is working satisfactorily.

I was well pleased; the door works very well. The price was better than other company's and they came sooner than other company's could. They cleaned up after themselves and left me the old door for my son to use for parts. They would have taken it if we wanted them to.
