'58 Foundations & Waterproofing

I had a very unfortunate experience with a misleading sales rep. In December 2022, a sales rep named Ryan came out to my house to show me my options. He suggested that we have a perimeter trench dug around the basement with a well and sump pump. He went over the options with me and told me about the amazing sump pumps that 58 Foundations & Waterproofing has...they are battery back-up in case of a power outage. I was excited about that because it gave me peace of mind. Let me be clear when I say that there was only a SINGLE option presented when it came to the type of sump pump they provided. Ryan gave me the option of a battery back-up and no other options. The install crew comes out, does a fantastic job, and gets it all done in a timely manner. 5 months passes and we have some bad storms rolling in. I wanted to be sure that the sump pump battery was still good, so I open the lid of the well to check on the battery, only to find out that we have a pump without a battery back-up, like I was told by my sales rep we would have. I reach out to the company to see if the battery is hidden inside the pump. After 24 hours, I still haven't heard back from the company, so I reach out to the sales rep directly. He tells me that I didn't purchase the battery back-up pump and that he would be happy to sell me one for an additional $1,500 (I am sure he would be happy to sell me one). I contacted the company to see what resolution we could arrive at. I have basically been told at this point that I did not purchase one even though the sales rep told me I was getting a battery back-up pump. A battery back-up was VERY important to me. The SC manager for 58 Foundations & Waterproofing called me today and offered to sell me one. But I cannot bring myself to pay for something that I was told would be included. She told me that the invoice does not show a line item for the battery back-up and that the invoice only lists "sump pump". But, how was I supposed to know that "sump pump" didn't mean the battery back-up pump that the sales rep told me would be included? How was I supposed to know that there would be a separate line item for "battery"? They have relied on the ignorance of their customers to take advantage. Everyone who gets one of these systems, make sure that you actually get what your sales rep told you...because I did not. And at the end of the day, of course the company has blamed me for the miscommunication. The SC manager told me that there was just a miscommunication and that she was sorry that I did not understand what I was purchasing. In reality, the reason that I did not understand is because I was misled. Until this issue is fixed and a battery back-up is installed free of charge, I will continue fighting this issue.

We had a leak after 18 months. We had a Lifetime Warranty at the time of installation. The company has failed to honor the warranty and does not return emails or phone calls. They have done nothing to resolve the problem. I would not recommend them as they do not back their engineering or workmanship.

Workers called to reschedule for later that day and left some trash under the house. Also dirt removed to pour foundation footings was not removed. Repair resolved sinking floor issue.

They were comparable to the other company that I called. I just don?t think verses what I can it for myself, it?s a little much for both companies. That the quotation process met my needs.

Came on time and performed exactly as planned.  Company did a good job explaining alternative and worked with us on price.Excellent follow up and communication during the planning phase.

It went fine. I've been using them before we became members of Angie's List. They did a good job.

The service turned out wonderful. All of it was great. They came and gave me an estimate and then showed up a week later to do the work. They cleaned up their mess and everything was good. They showed up when they said they were coming.

B-Dry did not excellent job of fixing my water-in-the basement problem. They did the work quickly (half a day) and the system works great. ( They used a jack-hammer to make a trench around the wall of my basement, installed gravel and sump pump, then covered up the trench with new concrete.) They were very courteous to deal with and clean-up nicely before they left. I should have had them do the work years ago.
