Heat Pump Installation and Replacement
I would not recommend this company. They used to be good, but we had an upstairs AC unit replaced. After the install, the unit would not keep the area cool. We tried several times to find an answer to our issues. All we got was excuses. When the outside temperature goes above 82, the AC WILL NOT KEEP THE TEMP below 74. It only goes up more as temps rise outside. They have stopped returning my calls and have now had their phone number changed or disconnected. I am very disappointed.

I’ve been in the real estate industry for decades and have used several contractors for heat and AC throughout the years and found that this company far surpassed them all in experience, professionalism, caring about their customer, completing the job on time and overall did a phenomenal job. Paul, the owner of the company was able to easily find solutions to a few challenges my house offered. Cannot say enough about this company. We found Energy Sharks through a Google search when our 20-year-old A/C started failing. They were one of three companies we had quote the job, and at first, they seemed like the right choice. The then-owner, Phil, came out himself, walked through our home, and sold me on his expertise ? talking about being a veteran (which I appreciated as a fellow vet) and explaining how our return registers were insufficient. He did some impressive-looking math on a slide ruler and promised, ?You?ll be calling me a hero for how much better the system will work.?
The price was reasonable, the timeline was quick, and we moved forward. The honeymoon ended almost immediately.
A few hours after install, the upstairs unit stopped blowing air entirely. They came back, tightened a loose set screw, and left. That same day, in mid-80s weather, the system couldn?t even bring the temp down to our normal 74°. Energy Shark is very dependable and reasonable company. Over the years Phil and Paul have installed lot of HVAC systems in my home and rental places. Just got a new 5 ton HVAC by York installed few days ago and is installed very professionally and is working perfectly well. Their price is very competitive and warranty excels any other company. They are the only company to give 10 years of warranty on labor and parts. Donny does vey good job on installation and maintenance. I whole heartedly recommend this company if you are in look out for a new HVAC system

TERRIBLE experience with this company. The York unit we bought and had installed had a bad coil after 6 months. They sent one crew out to fix it and two days later it didn't work again. They sent another crew out who bad-mouthed the first crew. We were out of AC for 8 days in > 90 degree heat. Poor communication, poor followup and they are under new management. Phil Esposito's no longer owns the company. They may be cheaper but sometimes you get what you pay for.

We made second trip to put refrigerant in to get you cold air until part came in. Also loaned you a portable AC to help out. I understand your frustration. It was not an installation issue, it was an equipment issue which we addressed, as we always do. We do not build the equipment, we just install it. Can?t believe you put a 1 star. Not correct."

At this point, we can't get an answer on what is wrong with our 15 month old HVAC system. We had to call another company to get help. They told us what was wrong, showed it to us, and offered to help us get Energy Sharks to fix it. We have been fussed at, told we were filthy, and now after the owner talked to my husband and said he was putting us down as priority, 4 hours later no one has come. We called back and now we are being sent to voicemail. This has been an issue for 2 summers now and we tried to be kind and patient but the attitude we got from the serviceman and now the lack of communication. We are filing complaints.

These guys weren't trying to rip me off like many other companies. Also every other company tried to sell me soon to be obsolete equipment for 30% more that these guys. I'm thinking the other companies should have sharks in their name cus damm I almost got bit hard by the other guys. Better newer system and honest about what was best. Would recommend highly

Had EnergySharks install a new upstairs unit, some new ductwork and an attic fan. The price was reasonable, the warranty coverage was great, and the work was completed quickly. However, I noticed last year that the attic fan stopped working, but it had a lifetime warranty so it should be a quick fix (I thought). I was wrong. Over the last 12 months I have called 10 times about this issue (I keep a log of calls). I've talked to Tonya at the office several times, and each time she said someone would call about the issue. Call-backs rarely happened. I did talk to a technician twice, who said these fans rarely break - which could be true, but I still needed it fixed. On the second call after some troubleshooting the technician agreed that it should be replaced but then never followed through. I had a friend give me the owner Phil's phone number - I called and left a message but was never called back. So this is a buyer beware warning - the work they do might never need servicing, but if the warranty is needed, be prepared for a long, frustrating fight. The attic fan is not expensive item, but I've seen no indication that the response from Energy Sharks would be different if there was a major equipment failure. The warranty should be honored either way. I hate to leave a negative review but I'm not sure what else I can do.

I hired Energy Shark Air and Heating. To install a new AC system. After explaining to Phil the owner, my current system is short cycling. He explained the old unit was definitely sized wrong He said I needed an additional return ductwork for $750. ( I realize now the new AC system would have been sized correctly, so the additional ductwork, return was not actually necessary). However, I finally changed the filter a year later. Because the ductwork was not installed correctly. When I removed the filter I noticed a hack job, the truss was cut and the duct was squeezed through the truss in the the shape of a tear drop. When I brought this to his attention, I included comments from peers in his industry. They all agreed the installer did a horrible job. He called them all idiots!! He explained to me his installers had no choice because the opening could not fit the ductwork. When I went up to my attic to inspect what he told me. There definitely is a lot more workable space to have it installed correctly without cutting the truss and squeezing the duct into a tight space. The ductwork is incorrectly installed and could have been done more professionally. Phil did have his installer call me to repair!! I refused to allow them to return. If they thought the installation the first time was good, to leave it in that condition. I am afraid to allow them back to do anything in my house. I am demanding a full refund amount of so I can hire a real professional company to do it right !! ( I have photos to prove my situation).
