+ 1 moreWe chose Michael because he was initially very responsive with his quote, offered a reasonable (but not necessarily the lowest) price, and was very engaging personally. We enjoyed working with him during the course of the project -- he was generally on time and eager to please. The problem that I have (and the reason that I would probably not use him again) occurred after job completion. We had a problem with one of the cabinet doors that he installed. I left a message for him and received a call back almost a week later. He told me that he would stop by in a couple of days to rectify the issue. He never appeared. I called him back a week later, but he has never returned my call. My advice to anyone that does choose to hire him is to hold a retainer of at least 5% for 30 days after job completion to make sure he has a financial incentive to deal with any problems that may show up.
Description of Work: Remodel of basement, including installation of new hard ceilings and fireplace revision, together with installation of new cabinetry and lighting throughout home.
