RAY'S GARAGE

The mechanics had put the wrong timing belt on the van and bent the valves. They said they would correct their error, but after calling them on a consistent basis it became more and more clear that my van was going to be there for months before it would be fixed. I called another mechanic and they said that to repair their damage and inspect the engine (because they would be liable otherwise) would cost over $3000. They suggested changing the engine which cost less, about $2700. What I thought was going to cost me $800 and a few days of time ended costing me $2700 and 6 weeks of time. I thought about filing a report at the probate, but the only good that would end up doing is it would go against his (the owner of Ray's) credit. The person there told me this guy has a history of doing exactly what he did to me. Right next to my van was an Audi that had been there for about 8 months. When I confronted the mechanic about what was taking so long he began to yell at me and even threatened to fight me. The bottom line: don't take your vehicle here!
