We were thoroughly impressed with the professionalism shown by the Advanced Electrical Service crew. Will came out right away to quote our job and started soon after. They always showed up when they said they would, and they worked really hard to get the job done right. Our house was a mess of wires and switches that had no purpose. Nothing functioned well. Many of the work was done before safety codes were in place, so it was a relief to have such a capable company handle everything. We were asked for our opinion often, and everything was explained well so that we could make informed decisions. Everyone who entered our home was polite, hardworking, and they knew their stuff. We never saw anyone just standing around. It was amazing to see how quickly things were completed despite the size of the job. It was also very convenient to be able to schedule both plumbing and electrical through the same company. The plumber actually asked if he could work the day after Thanksgiving at our house which was wonderful because we wanted to get our remodel done before Christmas. He spent the entire day at our house, then went to another call after. These are hardworking guys! I would recommend this company to anyone looking for reasonable and professional electrical and plumbing service. We won't hesitate to call them again!

Excellent work and customer service. Plumbing repair was done the same day as the estimate and plumber made additional repairs to other sagging pipes to prevent future leakage. Electrical work to be done on 8/9 PM. Highly recommend this company.

Grant Mize was punctual, professional, and just a joy to be around. He was present at the scheduled time, began work quickly and had an awesome, down-to-earth demeanor. He wasted no time getting to the issues that were present, correcting them, and advising us how to proceed forward with making the best and most economical decisions about our electrical issues.
Mr. Mize was never condescending, answered all of our questions thoroughly, kept a great sense of humor about the issues, and is very knowledgeable in his field. We will ask for this man in the future if we ever discover electrical issues in our residence and we wish him the very best in his line of work. Thank you for not making us feel like we had been taken advantage of and are able to believe that there are professionals who do love the work that they do.

Advanced Electrical Service was very responsive and helpful throughout the process. I ordered the deal through Angie's List and received a response first thing the next morning. Katerina was very helpful getting the appointment set up and finding out what I was needing to have done.
The appointment was set up for Thursday(just two days after I purchased the service) and Grant showed up on time and was very friendly and professional. He was able to get a lot done and was very helpful and informative throughout the process.
I will definitely call Advanced Electrical the next time I need any type of electrical service.

Excellent! In fact on two different occasions by two experts in the electrical field, they both said that the work performed was exceptional. One comment was from a retired professional electrician with over 50 years experience and the other was from a building inspector from Oconee County, They are quick to respond for service requests and their professionalism in every aspect is outstanding.

They arrived early for the consultation, completed that promptly and professionally, and gave an estimate that they met exactly. They arrived early to do the work, and completed that quickly and professionally. The installers of the appliance were impressed with the unusual quality of the electrical work. I don't know what else one could ask for.

It went great. No charge for my mistake today and the work they did on the sunroom addition last year was top notch - no problems to date at all. I would definitely use them again and would highly recommend them.

Update: I spoke with the owner of AES. There were a few misunderstandings that may have caused me to be a little more harsh on these ratings and review than I should have. The light was apparently left out so we could use it to shop for a replacement, and the timer switch was not included on the work order, so he was unaware of the need to do that work. I was assured that the unattached panel cover was a mistake that isn't typical. The price was fair given that he did make a trip and performed some labor in diagnosing exactly where the short was (in the lamp rather than the line). It's just frustrating having to pay for service when there is no progress made on the actual problem. I have decided to take the time to make these repairs myself, but if I needed a professional in the future, I would consider AES again.
First, the good: AES was very responsive in setting up the appointment. The called me immediately and set up an appointment just over a week from my initial request. The technician showed up promptly when they said he would.
The rest was not so good: When he took out the light and checked the circuit, he told us that there was a short in the circuit at the lamp and that we'd need a replacement lamp since they can't be repaired. I'd already known about the short and if I'd known about needing a replacement, I wouldn't have asked him to come out in the first place. I can't fault him terribly for not being at all helpful since he still had to make the service call, but I did take exception to the fact he left the lamp removed and in pieces just sitting on the pool deck when he left. Additionally, when I saw the electrical panel, I realized that he left the cover completely removed with dangerous connections exposed to the room. I was comfortable in replacing it myself, but many people might not have been. I'm also still looking for a couple of screws which I needed to fasten the cover over the breakers. Also, since the service call, we've had a leak in the pool. While I have no way to know if the leak was caused by his actions, the timing in rather coincidental. I'll know more once we have the leak source identified.
As for the panel with the timers, we were told that he didn't have the tools necessary to install the panel, but we could always call to set up another service call for him to do that another time (which of course would include more charges.) So, for coming out and telling me what I already knew, leaving a mess for me to clean up, possibly causing a leak, I was charged $150. I realize that they have to charge for any service call whether they do anything or not, but leaving everything dismantled when he left was unacceptable. Next time, I'll know to call someone else - probably a pool professional - which I now know I should have done the first time. It seems that some general electricians aren't really qualified to to electrical pool work.
