They put Freon in my unit without using scales and just guessed at how much they gave me. Then charged me for 3lbs! Keep in mind the unit was cooling like it always did! The inside hvac just needed cleaning! When they left the unit started short cycling and wouldn’t cool! I called Doug and he came out and said it was my thermostat and it was just a coincidence that it failed right after they left! He didn’t even offer to install a new thermostat at cost just in case it was their fault! I don’t believe it is the thermostat though! Snelgrove is a bad choice!

Excellent!. I called Snelgrove's HVAC after another company failed to show up for a scheduled appointment. Their technician arrived as promised before 9 the next morning. He could have sold me a new compressor or even a new system (this one is rather old), but it turned out it was just a burned out connector. The bill was less than I expected for just the service call! Highly recommended!

My heat went out in the middle of the night. Luckily, it was only down to 31 degrees that night. I had never used Angie's List before. I live way out in the country and thought that I wouldn't find anyone listed that would be close. Anyway, I tried it and found Snelgroves's HVAC.
Doug answered the phone right away when I called and was very polite. We didn't set an exact time for him to be at my house (which did not make my wife happy). He said he would stop by on the way back from another job but would call me when he was headed my way.
Doug and his assistant (sorry I forgot his name) showed up and were courteous and professional (even when my dog jumped up on them... Sorry guys...). I told them what was happening with the unit and they went to work. The immediately found the outdoor fan capacitor bad and replaced it. Then they found the indoor fan capacitor bad and replaced it. Tested it out and closed it up.
Total time was between 20 and 30 minutes. I expected more for the service charge (50) and less for the parts(100,75) but I guess it works out. The prices for the capacitors was a little high but then, I'm used to fixing things myself and not calling a repairman. Then again, this was an emergency call and if I had tried to fix it myself, it probably would have taken a couple of days to get parts.
Overall, the service was excellent the price was less than I expected. I would definitely recommend them and if I have another emergency that I can't fix, they will be the first one I call.

I know a lot of companies charge extra for emergency or weekend calls, but we never have, and don't intend to. We are a small family owned and operated business just trying to help out our neighbors. He was prompt and has good communications as he describes the work and time it will take. This is important when your business needs air conditioning because clients usually are present here one to two hours.
He is friendly and yet direct with service. He gives good feedback for the future about your concerns and questions. It's good to know him and keep his number handy, he will call you back.
And give him a referral, he will call them promptly too, and that's a fact. He has serviced a referral I sent him more than once now because of his professionalism good attitude and skill.
I've also sent him to check on my 80 year young neighbor, for service repair, and when she inquired about a new Energy Star efficient unit, he shared information so she could make an educated smart choice ahead of time.
I do wish him all the success in the world growing his business.

It went good, he fixed it. It didn't take a LONG time, but it did take a little longer than expected because he had to do some troubleshooting to fix the problem and get the parts. He was very nice & friendly and did an outstanding job. He told me he would come back if I had any more problems, but I haven't. I would recommed him to anybody.

I have used Bob Snelgrove for my HVAC work for 15 years. On this occasion, as well as in all past cases, Snelgrove have come to my assistance the same day, every time. Yesterdays problem was solved by Bob's son in law, (Doug) who works for him. It was late in the day when I called and even though I said they could wait till the next day, they came that evening and fixed the problem, I can't say enough about their professionalism or service.
