+ -1 moreour three year old tv quit and with little hope we called john's. he said he would analyze the problem and give us an estimate to fix it for 35.00 with that amount to be applied to the bill if we had it repaired. he called before we even got home with an estimate of 150.00 to fix it which we oked and he said it would be ready in 2 days; but he called the next day and said it was ready! it has worked steadily and beautifully ever since. needless to say; we are extremely pleased.

+ -1 moreThe employees were helpful in explaining the process to check the TV and helped me unload the unit which I could not manage by myself due to the size. After paying $35 to check the TV, I received and call about 4 days later stating that the screen would need to be replaced. The total cost of replacement would be about $700. I agreed with the diagnosis as but felt the cost was not worth replacing as I could purchase the same unit refurbished for $495. Overall I would recommend John's TV since experiencing poor service from a few other TV repair companies in the area.
Description of Work: We had a 50” Samsung Plasma TV that the screen quit working after about 3 years. The TV still had audio but the screen did not function. I tried disconnecting the y-buffer to each side with no resolve so I figured it was something with the screen or power. I know that Samsung had a bad batch of capacitors but I did not see any that were bulging or leaking. I decided to take the TV to John’s TV for repair. The employees were friendly and told me upfront that it would be $35 to determine the problem with the TV and if I chose to repair, the cost would be credited to the total.
