Providence Plumbing was referred to me, which split off to Ward Plumbing. I'm not sure the person referring meant for me to work with Gary, because Gary is a pretty cranky guy. From the time I first called him to the last conversation yesterday, he has an edge of crankiness to him.. The work was a kitchen remodel, which meant more than one visit. He clearly was not happy about that, and at the first visit he said he would connect the dishwasher and could have easily done that, but when I went to use it there was no water. He was supposed to come back yesterday to finish connecting everything, i.e. faucet, r/o, dishwasher, but because the granite guys were running late by an hour or two, Gary couldn't come over. This meant I would be without use of my kitchen for the weekend. Now I am spoiled and want to use my kitchen, so I pleaded with Gary to find a way, but he insisted as a business owner I should understand that he has to fill in that time with another appt. He was going to call a Monday morning appt and go to that appt. instead.
I am a business owner, and 'No', I don't understand this mentality. I give free consults every day, I stay open later if someone is on their way, I deliver when the need arises. No, I don't understand leaving someone without a kitchen for the weekend because of a 1-2 hour delay and you have no other appointments lined up. I especially don't understand the cranky attitude and total lack of caring about me, a paying customer. I think Gary has been in the business too long.
In the end I have to thank Gary, because I was then referred to another plumber who was very, very naturally nice, came over later that day, and was less expensive! I have a new plumber that I will be using for business and home for a long time.

Overall, it was great. I called and reached Gary immediately. He booked at appointmemt at my convenience. He and Jared arrived on time and completed the job in about 1.5 hours.

He is very knowledgeable and has been in the business for a very long time. He seemed to know what he was doing and there was never any question about how to do the work. Lot of times, you will have plumbers come in and say they know how to do something, but they really don't.

Everything went fantastic with this company.

Gary is very dependable and reliable. He is flexible to come on relatively short notice. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field and willing to explain what he has to do and why. I would definitely recommend him for any plumbing job!
