During the first week of March, 2019, I took my Toshiba television to Gerald A. Rogers, owner of Circuit Connection. At that time, he told me that he would need to do diagnostic work to determine the problem, and I paid $65.00 (diagnostic fee) for him to begin working on the television. During that time Mr. Rogers also tried to sell me a television he had previously repaired at a price of $400.00, which I declined. Since March, Mr. Rogers has given the following excuses as to why the television is still not fixed: the wrong part was ordered; he was sent the wrong part; he incorrectly diagnosed the problem and a new part would have to be ordered; his wife was recently diagnosed with cancer/in an accident; etc. When Mr. Rogers stated that his wife had been recently diagnosed with cancer and also in an accident, I asked him to call me and give me an update as to when he thought he could work on the television as he stated he needed to care for his wife. Mr. Rogers did not call me back. On Monday, April 1st, 2019 I called Mr. Rogers again, and he stated the part he ordered would be in on Tuesday, April 2nd as it was coming next-day mail. I called Mr. Rogers on Wednesday, April 3rd, and he stated the part had been sent by regular mail and the television would be fixed by April 11th. On Friday, April 12th, I called Circuit Connection to make arrangements to pick up my television since I had not heard from Mr. Rogers, and the call went to voicemail, which stated the shop would be closed until April 22nd, 2019. I went to pick up the television on April 12th (although it is still not fixed) to take it somewhere else to be repaired, and Mr. Rogers refused to give me my television, this time stating that he was "sick with a stomach bug" and if he "felt like it" the television would be fixed on April 13th; however, the shop is closed on Saturdays. In addition, Mr. Rogers used profanity toward his wife in my presence when she stated he needed to stop telling customers that she has cancer. An additional phone call was placed to Mr. Rogers in an attempt to resolve this matter amicably and make arrangements to pick up the television, and he became belligerent over the phone. A complaint with the Better Business Bureau has also been filed. At this point in time I want my television back so I can take it to someone who will repair it, or be reimbursed for the cost of the television.
