We found Sturgis Builders on Angie's List, and he was the 5th contractor to come out to look at our job, and only the 2nd to give a quote. The others never called back. Mr. Sturgis was friendly, listened respectfully and thoroughly to us, gave great suggestions, and was willing to tackle difficult aspects of the job including moving a vent pipe and a gas line as well as cutting through an exterior brick wall over 20' off the ground to put in a transom window. He brought his crew within a week of our agreeing to work together, just as he said he would, at 8:00 a.m. on a Monday morning, and explained to them thoroughly what the job entailed. They came every morning at 8:00, and worked until 4:30 p.m. Each crew member had his specialty area, but each worked together to complete the job. Many glitches arose in the course of the work, but they patiently put their heads together to fix each problem to our satisfaction. They tidied up at the end of each day, and were courteous in their exchanges with us and each other. Our job took place in December, so there were several holiday breaks in the action, but everyday that the crew could work here, they did. They didn't fit us in between other jobs. They were flexible with changes we wanted. I felt very comfortable with them being in our house all day with my wife while I was at work, and she even left them several times here alone while she ran errands. They dealt with the materials we chose, making everything work. Mr. Sturgis is very prompt in returning calls, and conducts himself with class and integrity. We've already asked them to put us on their calendar for next year's kitchen remodel. You won't regret choosing Sturgis Builders.

Sturgis is busy! It may take a week to get started, but once he begins, you'll love his professionalism. He visits the site and really listens to what you want done. He discusses options and then prepares a written contract which details the services he'll provide, the cost of the project and terms of payment. Sturgis checks on the work several times each day. He is also accessible via cell phone for questions or concerns His crew is skilled and courteous. The work is excellent with much attention to detail. Clean up provided each day. This is my second project with Sturgis Builders. I'm sure I'll use him again.

From the very first moment I met Tommy Sturgis, I had a good feeling about him. Now that the job is complete, that good feeling has been justified! He communicates very well and openly, he and his crew showed up every day exactly when they said they would, they worked hard and were polite and friendly. They took the time to explain anything I asked about, and even humored my young son's questions. They cleaned up the big stuff at the end of every day, and did a good clean-up at the end, complete with vacuuming drywall dust from inside and wiping things down. I am extremely pleased with their work and professionalism. Before Tommy left on the last day, I was already getting his input on another project we have in mind, and he will be the first person I will call when it's time to get started!
