Overall Matt and his crew were very professional.  He came out and gave us an estimate to cut down several trees in our yard.  We had more trees cut down than what was in the estimate and of course the cost was more. We understood that.  They did an excellent job removing many trees for 3 days.  Including in the quote was some trimming of some trees and bushes that was free of charge.  They have not been out to complete that as of yet. There was some damage of our flagstone during the tree removal which they came back out and repaired and replaced some that were damaged which we appreciated very much.  He also was to come back out with his dad, who is an arborist, to give us a quote for some landscaping ideas which we would like to have done in the front and the back. We had an appt. set but he never showed or called.  We called that afternoon and left a message but have not heard from him as of yet. We were very disappointed in the unprofessionalism of this.  We wanted to go with them for our next project or two which will be quite substantial.  We also had recommended to a family member of their tree removal service and they were very pleased with the removal of their trees as well.  As far as tree removal they did an excellent job.  They also did a great job with clean up.  I would highly recommend them!  We were just disappointed in not showing up for an appointment and not returning our call when we left a message about not showing for the appointment and also for not completing the work that was in our original agreement.  Hopefully they will rectify this and finish the work that was in the original contract and provide landscaping services.  We liked this company very much we just seem to have a communication problem at times especially through emails and set appointments.  However, overall I would recommend them with tree removal.

These guys did a great job! My property and trees look 100% better and I have now decided to use this team quarterly to keep up my property which is full of trees. He removed all of the cut trees from the property and cleaned up all leaves and limbs. He worked quickly and this will only serve to add value to my overall property.

We recently purchased our home and love the heavily wooded and landscaped yard. However, this spring we noticed a number of trees had very pale leaves instead of their normal deep green, and others were dropping spotted and dying leaves. The trees hadn't been trimmed in some years, and lack of air flow caused by dense shrubbery and tree branches was creating an excessively humid environment, harming the trees and affecting their growth because of insufficient sunlight. Additionally, wind couldn't move freely through very tall, old trees, which can be dangerous during storms.
My experience with Matthew Sterling Jones was excellent from start to finish. He is very knowledgeable, proficient, reliable and fair. He's also careful and safety conscious. His strong work ethic is apparent. And I quickly learned that not only does Matthew love trees and want them to be healthy, he also wants them to be just as beautiful as possible.
Three people worked with him, and Matthew provided them good direction and advice throughout the three-day job. We were completely satisfied with the work of everyone involved. And, by the way, they were meticulous in removing debris.
The end result is a happy one: Our yard looks lovely, most especially the trees.
