If you don't see the red ribbon, it's not Overhead Door. We never use subcontractors. We offer service 24/7. Mon-Sat 8a-8p same charge. Extra charge for emergency service after 8pm. Sold me on top of the line opener. It is worth it. Smooth and MUCH quieter than old one. Motion activated light and other nice features. Ist installation was faulty due to having a trainee do the work while the experienced man watched. They returned quickly after our call and did it right. Rated B rather than A because should have done it right the first time.

The person at the shop was very helpful. He did not know how much it would cost to make the garage door opening smaller in order to fit the door, and he gave me a very low estimate. The actual price for making the opening smaller was much higher. In my opinion it was too high for the amount of work involved. It was entirely too high for the finished result. The siding he used does not match the existing siding style and he installed the vertical braces by just bending them over the existing moulding. He was also more than two hours late coming. He also mentioned that he was in a hurry so he could start his vacation. He did replace some rotted wood around the door opening, but he would have had to replace it anyway in order to make the opening smaller. He did do a very nice job of bending and installing the metal trim around the door.
The person who installed the door was very prompt and professional. He installed the door efficiently and was very clear as to how to operate the opener. I was very happy with the actual door installation.
I would recommend this company for installing a garage door. I would not recommend the carpenter that made the door opening smaller.

We had an issue with the garage door not going all the way up and had Overhead Door Company of Rock Hill come out to do a basic service call and take a look at the options.
The cost of this call was $87.00. Please note the coupon on Angie's List does NOT apply to this service call (only repairs) - this was not a problem; just want to make others aware.
The person who arrived never introduced himself. He proceeded to operate the garage door to identify the problem with our door. After moving it up and down once he then disengaged the "rope lock" which holds the door in place. As you are aware, this will cause the garage door to separate from the track and close. Apparently a spring (which was broken on our unit) should lower the door slowly. Ours was broken, unknown to us, so the door came down very quickly.
Once he pulled this "rope lock" he then proceeded to run towards the garage door, in an attempt to catch it, and hit his head against the door. This was all within 5 mins of arrival. So now we have an injured service tech, who is supposed to be the expert, cleaning his wounds in our downstairs bathroom.
After taking care of his wounds, he recommended some repairs to the door that were needed. We then noticed a dent in the garage door from where it fell. We pointed this out and he attempted to "push it back in". At this point we told him to leave it alone.
He left and we called customer service and reported the injury and the poor experience.
We still need repairs on our garage door, but Overhead Door Company in Rock Hill will not be performing these repairs.
I'm sorry, we are unable to recommend this company.

Overhead Door of Rock Hill called immediately the next morning and instantly said they would not charge us for the service call. They profusely apologized and offered us a very significant discount on the repairs they quoted us on.
We are still reviewing our options on repairing our door. It was nice to hear back from Overhead Door of Rock Hill, and they have done their best to rectify the situation.

Everything was very clear and I knew that I wouldn't be taken advantage of. They brought samples of the door materials, they told me all of the different choices. I had never considered getting a new chain drive but when we told him that we wanted it to be as quiet as possible they suggested a belt drive. Everything was very clear and concise. They were prompt and they were here when they said they would be. There was a small problem with a rubber gasket and they came to replace it promptly. They were not the least expensive but we decided to go with their reputation.
