Horrible. They stole $1000 and a credit card and went through rooms they should never have been in

Never showed up on confirmed moving day of 2/27/17. Called Carey and found out it was never put on schedule even though they confirmed packing on 2/27 and loading on 2/28 with delivery on 3/1. Had to be out on 3/1 for new owners. They hired an independent crew to pack and load on 2/28. This only worked because I had so much packed already.

They did a terrible job, a bunch of things were broken and walls damaged. We were supposed to have our things by a certain day and it was not on time.

A few boxes didn’t arrive. One of them contained jewelry and my passport. I cancelled my US Passport and I have to purchase a new one. I filed a claim with Cary Moving and Storage. I talked with them and their insurance company. Joni was very communicative with me and tried what she could to help me. They ensured me that they traced every single client that dealt with the truck. About a month later, I received a phone call from someone in Indiana who said she had received my property. She had tried to reach out to Carey Moving and Storage, but they never responded to her. I paid for her to ship the boxes to me. During the delivery, they propped the television against the wall and it fell to the carpet and cracked in the center. Because we insured at only a certain amount, they only sent a check for $45 and I had to purchase a new television for $1,000. Overall, the service was great up until the moving and delivery. It was not a good moving experience. The biggest problem I have with them was that the company and their insurance said that they had done everything to locate my missing box, but they did not. I am also still missing some others objects.

From the moment I called them I was pleased with their service. They had a representative come out and give an estimate. I chose to box everything myself to help with cost savings, they brought boxes to me as I needed them and would periodically check with me to see if I needed more. They arrived the morning of December 17th and began with loading our household onto the truck. They were very respectful throughout the entire process. The date of delivery was to be on December 18th but our closing was postponed to later in the day so they graciously said they would deliver the morning of December 19th at no extra charge. The morning of the 19th, the same crew arrived bright and early. They were great about placing furniture and boxes in the rooms I wanted them in. They put the beds together and attached the mirrors to the dressers. They were very neat and clean about everything and made sure to pick up after themselves.
