The provider showed up an hour and a half late to the first appointment. He wore a t-shirt with no company information on it. I explained the problem and he turned the oven on, pulled it out from the wall and without doing any sort of diagnostic testing declared that the control board was broken. He told me it would take 3-5 days for a new board to come in and they would call me to schedule an appointment. A week went by with no word from the company. I called and the person I spoke to on the phone informed me that it typically takes 3-5 weeks, not days, for that part to come in. So I waited and received a call a month after my original appointment that the part was in. I scheduled another appointment to which the technician was again 1-2 hours late. He came in, installed the control board, used some questionable language while doing so and then informed me the control board they sent him was bad and they needed to order another one. Somehow, the new control board arrived within the week. He then came again, this time only an hour late, installed it, didn't even check to see if that solved the problem and then left. It did not resolve the problem. I contacted the company again, they told me they would be out no later than Noon on a certain day and he called me at 12:30 telling me it would still be a while before he got to our house. I told him to forget it. I was done with the company. Needless to say, the warranty company sent Sears today and the technician fixed the issue - a burnt out wire to the broiler element - right away and the oven now works perfectly.

My microwave was making a horrible noise. Felix came and took my microwave back to the shop to make the repairs. I wasn't too crazy about this idea but let him take it anyway. He brought back the microwave at the end of the day with the repairs made. No sooner did he leave when my microwave started up with the noise again. Another technician came and took my micrwave on a Wednesday afternoon. He said that he would call first thing the next morning with an update. He never called. I finally called Appliance Tech on Friday morning. The receptionist said that someone would call me. NO ONE CALLED ME. I left a very irrate message on their voice mail. It was a long weekend and I did not have a microwave or, at the very least an update of what was going on. This is unacceptable customer service. I would not recommend this company to anyone!

Appointment made, everyone very nice. Arrived the next day on time, calling to confirm appointment and directions. Efficiently diagnosed problem and quoted price as well as helpful hints on warranty payment. I asked about Angie's list discount, it was confirmed by person doing service but then no discount given to my wife who paid. This is my only negative part of the experience. We will have Sears do the repair under warranty.

Fridge/Freezer died on a Saturday. Sunday morning I called Sears but they couldn't come out until Tuesday. I left message for ApplianceTech Sunday morning and on Moday morning at 8:50AM I was scheduled for repair between 10:30 and Noon. Dennis called at 10:50 to advise that they would be a llittle late, between 12:30 and 1:00p. At 11:50a, they called to say they were on the way. Upon arrival they assessed the problem, and it was fixed within 30 mintues. They gave me the option of using the hard-start booster on the compressor @ $225 or replacing the compressor @$550 to $600. 1 year warranty on kit and if failed w/i the year he would apply cost to new compressor. Overall experience very positive. Professional, clean, courteous and quick.

I enjoyed working with them, they were competent and accommodating from the beginning. They came out to inspect the issues first, then told me what was wrong and that they would order the parts. I never asked for an estimate as I was anxious to get them repaired and not many contractors will work in Waxhaw. My only complaint is that parts seemed to take forever to come in about 7 business days. Though that is not Appliance Tech's fault, I do wonder if another supplier might be faster. The supplier also sent an incorrect part the first time, further delaying the completion of the work and necessitating a second trip.

Our technician was Dennis. He took his shoes off when he walked in the house, which was very nice. He was very clean, smelled nice, had mints in his mouth, and even after he said he had just been under a house before he came to mine, his shirt was clean! He was very careful not to scuff my floor with the sharp metal of the dishwasher. He was amazing, and we were told we could ask for him in the future. They do all kinds of appliance repair, including heating and A/C repair, so I plan to use them for my A/C next time I need maintenance. Dennis was wonderful!

The job went well and quite smooth, only lasted about one hour from start to finish. The technician also spotted a possible future problem with the cold water supply hose and recommended changing it soon before there was a major leak from there. He explained that he could do it for $50.00 or I could do it myself for the price of the hose at a home improvement store and save myself $45.00 dollars. This is what I did and I would recommend them to others. They are only available Monday thru Friday, but it was well worth the wait service and money wise.

Enid answered the phone promptly & had Henderson there immediately. He quickly identified the problem, which was a wire that was not properly insulated upon installation. He replaced the wire & it has been working great ever since.

THEY ARE A VERY GOOD COMPANY. I HAVE USED THEM MORE THAN FOUR TIMES. THEY ARE PLEASANT TO WORK WITH. THEY COME OUT VERY QUICKLY. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY DESCRIBE EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO BE DOING. IF THEY DON'T HAVE THE PART, THEY GO GET IT. TO FIX THE STOVE ALL THEY NEEDED TO DO WAS REPLACE THE BURNERS AND THE SOCKETS THEY GO IN.

I CALLED THEM TO COME OUT AND REPAIR MY DISHWASHER BEFORE THANKSGIVING. WHEN THE SERVICE MAN CAME OUT, HE REMOVED THE BASEBOARD AND SAID I HAD THE MOTOR PUMP FAILED. I DIDN'T HEAR FROM THEM UNTIL THE NEXT WEEK. I CALLED THEM, BUT THEY DID NOT RETURN MY CALL. I CALLED BACK AND TALKED TO A PERSON WHO SAID MY PARTS WERE HELD UP. FINALLY, THE PARTS CAME IN, THEY CAME OUT AND PUT MY PARTS IN, AND THE BASEBOARD (TOE KICK)WAS NEVER PUT BACK. THE BOTTOM METAL GRILL OF THE DISHWASHER IS NOW EXPOSED. THE PIECE THAT COVERED THAT WAS NOT PUT BACK ON. I CALLED AND TALKED TO ENID WILSON. I EXPLAINED IF YOU CAME TO MY HOME YOU WOULD SEE WHERE THE PIECE IS MISSING. SHE TOLD ME SHE TALKED TO HER SERVICE MAN AND HE SAID HE NEVER REMOVED THE PIECE. HER REPLY TO ME WAS "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT?" I CALLED THE CABINET COMPANY AND THEY ARE GOING TO HAVE ANOTHER PIECE MADE. IT BOTHERS ME THAT THIS COMPANY WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY TO REPLACE THE PIECE.

HE CAME OUT AND HE SAID THAT THE WATER LINE ALSO NEEDED REPAIR BECAUSE IT WAS NOT FLOWING CORRECTLY. THEY ALSO SAID THEY WERE GOING TO ORDER THE FILTER PART. THEY CHARGED ME FOR FIXING THE WATER LINE, BUT NEVER FIXED THE FILTER. I CALLED THEM FOR SIX MONTHS AND AFTER THE FIRST TWO MONTHS THEY ADMITTED THAT THEY COULDN'T FIND THE PART NUMBER, BUT THEY WOULD SOMEHOW FIND A WAY TO ORDER ONE. THE REMAINING FOUR MONTHS THEY CLAIMED THAT THE PART WAS ON ORDER AND THEY WOULD COME OUT AND REPLACE IT WHEN IT CAME IN. I FINALLY GAVE UP AND BOUGHT A WATER PITCHER. NOW A YEAR LATER THE WATER LINE THEY INSTALLED IS LEAKING ON MY KITCHEN FLOOR. I HAD USED THIS COMPANY BEFORE AND WAS PLEASED, BUT THIS SITUATION HAS CHANGED MY VIEW. I FEEL THEY STRUNG ME ALONG AND DIDN'T PLAN ON FIXING MY PROBLEM BECAUSE THE PART WAS A HASSLE TO GET.

MIKE CAME OUT AND CLEANED OUT THE FILTER, THEN SHOWED ME WHERE IT WAS SO I WOULDN'T HAVE TO CALL HIM AGAIN. I WAS TOLD HE WOULD BE OUT BETWEEN 12 AND 3. HE CALLED AT 12:45 TO SAY HE WAS ON THE WAY, AND ARRIVED AT 1:15. THEY COULDN'T HAVE BEEN NICER.

I CALLED THE FIRST TIME, AND THEY QUOTED $250 FOR A NEW PART. I DELAYED THE REPAIR A MONTH. THEY SAID THAT BECAUSE A MONTH HAD PASSED, THE DISCOUNT LISTED ON THEIR INVOICE, AND AN ADDITIONAL ANGIE'S LIST DISCOUNT DIDN'T APPLY. I CHALLENGED THIS, BUT THEY REFUSED TO COMPROMISE. I WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT THIS POLICY WASN'T MADE CLEAR IN ADVANCE. ANOTHER COMPANY SAID I DIDN'T NEED A NEW PART, BUT JUST SOME GREASE APPLIED TO AN EXISTING ONE. I CALLED THEM ANOTHER TIME, BECAUSE THEY ARE ONE OF THE FEW COMPANIES THAT SERVICE BOSCH DISHWASHERS.. THE DISHWASHER WASN'T DRAINING BECAUSE OF PIPE ALIGNMENT. HE FIXED IT QUICKLY. THE POORLY WORDED DISCOUNT AGAIN WAS DETERMINED NOT TO APPLY. THIS HAS PROVEN VERY FRUSTRATING, AND I FEEL THEY ARE DISINGENUOUS IN PRETENDING TO OFFER A DISCOUNT AT ALL. THE LANGUAGE ON THEIR INVOICE SAYS "ALWAYS $10 OFF YOUR NEXT REPAIR.

THEY HAD TO COME BACK WHEN THE NEW SWITCH BROKE OFF. THEY WERE A LITTLE SLOW IN RETURNING MY CALL. DENNIS DID THOUGH, AND CAME BACK TO REPLACE IT AGAIN. THEY SEEM VERY BUSY AND ARE A VERY HARD WORKING COMPANY.

THEY MESSED UP WHATEVER THEY DIAGNOSED WAS WRONG. THEY HAD TO COME OUT THREE MORE TIMES TO FIX IT AND THEY DIDN'T MAKE ME PAY FOR ANY OF THE PARTS OF THE TRIPS OUT HERE, BUT IT WAS A PAIN TO HAVE TO MAKE SURE SOMEONE WAS HERE FOR THEM.

SINCE MY REGULAR APPLIANCE REPAIR FAVORITE WAS NOT AVAILABLE TO COME OUT RIGHT AWAY, I CALLED APPLIANCE TECH. THEY COULD RESPOND RIGHT AWAY SO I BOOKED THE APPOINTMENT. THEY MET MY SATISFACTION IN EVERYTHING EXCEPT PRICE. I PAID A PREMIUM. I WOULD ONLY HIRE THEM AGAIN IF I NEEDED SAME DAY SERVICE.
