Went very well.

We recently had Hilton Head Solar install a solar system to heat our in-ground pool at our Bluffton residence. The price was very reasonable considering the size of our pool, and we are extremely pleased with the result, as it extended the season for the pool by at least four months at virtually no operating cost. Initially, it took about 2 weeks for the solar system to heat the pool to our desired temperature (85 to 89) and it has kept the pool at that temperature during the day, even though the night time temperature has occasionally been in the 50’s, allowing us to use the pool virtually every day since initial installation (March) and start-up. The assessment was very professional and they quickly determined that they were able to integrate the controls for the solar system directly into the pool controls that we already had both saving us money and eliminating the nuisance of having multiple control systems. They also were very helpful in getting the project approved by our local ARB by providing all of the requested information on a timely basis. The installation was quick and also very professional, as they were able to get everything operating within a day and one half. They also completely cleaned up when they were finished. From start to finish Hilton Head Solar was professional and attentive. They were honest with the cost up front, there were no hidden or extra charges. They were very knowledgeable of the products and educated me on what type of panels, and inverter to purchase and why. I was very impressed with the quote from Hilton Head Solar, especially the materials recommended. (I also received quotes from two other companies.) Hilton Head Solar took care of everything pertaining to ordering and delivering materials, obtaining permits, coordinating with Palmetto Electric Cooperative, installing the system, and getting it started. The application to my homeowner's association for permission to perform the work had to be submitted by me. Hilton Head Solar assisted me in this by providing all the information I needed about the equipment to be used and the installation design. I would strongly recommend Hilton Head Solar to anyone wanting to install a solar electric system. Prior to choosing them, I had many questions.
