Broad Strokes

Very well. We reside in the home so there was significant coordination pertaining to artwork on walls, nick-nack type items on top of cabinets and inside curio cabinet clock. The schedule (4 days), which was excellent, was coordinated with us to allow time for shifting the above-noted items. Furniture shifting was handled by the paint team. All furniture and floors were protected as the painting task took place. They worked as a team, were quiet, and clean. They were punctual and very courteous. We highly recommend them.

Paula Thurman (owner of Broad Strokes) and her crew were lifesavers! I traveled to South Carolina on short notice to get work done on a house I was trying to sell, and she rearranged her schedule to accommodate me. Her crew arrived right on time every morning, worked quickly but carefully, and were very friendly and professional. They had most of the interior painting done by the time I had to leave town, and it looked beautiful! I trust Paula and her crew completely, and so had no qualms about leaving a key with her so they could finish the work after I left town. My realtor tells me the patio areas look great! I also really like the fact that 10 percent of the cost is tax deductible because it goes to a non-profit animal rescue organization which Paula runs. In short, I have nothing but good things to say about Paula and her crew, and I highly recommend Broad Strokes.

They did a nice job. Put plastic down to protect furniture, floors, etc. Their price was $300 cheaper than my other quote.  My only MINOR issue was that they got a little paint on a few light fixture bases. Nothing that wasn't easy to clean-up on our part. But, you asked.......

Excellent work. Paula is great to work with. And her painters are clean, meticulous and work in a professional manner. She helped us to pick out the colors. The entire interior was painted within 3 days and that included moving furniture, taking down and rehanging drapery and blinds, and rehanging some mirrors and pictures. Except for the new color on the walls, you'd never know they were here.

She did a good job on the walls but did not seem to be knowledgable on painting cabinets. I have since had another painter come out who said the job looked like a "paint and dash". The cabinets continue to stick and chip because they were not left open to dry. Paula had came back out to try to fix but painted the same way as before and the cabinets are still chipping. We are now going to have to fix it ourselves.

Broad Strokes was easy to deal with. The owner is pleasant and knowledgable. The workers did a generally good job except for priming of cabinets. They did not sand the cabinet surfaces ahead of time and there was some paint peeling. Owner had another painter come back and fix the problem areas.

STARTED ON TIME AND FINISHED ON TIME.

Overall, the experience was good. I'm happy with their services and I would recommend them to others.
