Stately Surfaces

Todd Smith showed up and took us through the options. We thought the price was high but he emphasized how great it was going to look and we decided to go ahead, especially since a local, similar company who did our neighbor's place had gone out of business(theirs looked really great). Todd said it would be mid-July he would call when they had workers available. The call came the morning they wanted to start and it was just lucky that one of us was available to be home. The men who arrived did practically nothing for three hours. We called Todd and were told that they didn't have the pressure washer available or the one they did have wasn't working. They tried to use our garden hose(without asking)and ultimately we found out that hose was broken by them, trying to use it as a pressure washer. The job took a day longer than they said and the young man who showed up to manage the job had only worked there three days. He was very nice and tried his best to get things under control, doing a lot of the base work himself. They completed the job and left at dusk. We then found out that "ideally" it would be good to stay off the surface for three weeks...we had not been warned of this situation. Todd had said he would personally inspect the results of the work and this never happened. We have called him twice about the garden hose and they said they would replace it. We have not heard back and phone calls are not returned. The look of the flooring is "okay" but not at all at the quality level we had expected to see. There are places that require smoothing off(around the patterns)and there are other places where the color was overdone and clearly different from the overall look.
