Air conditioning was not working - had Moon and Freeman check things out on a Saturday. Mechanic told me over the phone that the electric board was out and needed to be replaced that one would have to be ordered and it could be repaired on Monday. I asked for an estimate and mechanic could not give me one until he checked with the office. I was not provided any written estimate. Come Monday I received a call from mechanic saying the board would cost $500.00 - still did not have written parts estimate, i assumed that this was a somewhat fair price at the time and agreed to the work. Installer conducted work at the residence. I was there at the time and asked for the old board. Curious about the cost of a replacement board I discovered that prices ranged from $80 to $150 for the same new part. Definitately price gauging and taking advantage of the customer with an easy 5 times mark-up on the replacement part. Called Moon and Freeman and they stated that this is what they charge.

Great! Chuck has keep our a/c going for the 7 yrs we have lived here. We have had thermosats go back, capacitors give out, drains in attic get clogged and he has fixed it all. Good prices, friendly service, and usually on time!

The service manager gave us a time of 8:30a-9:00a. At 9:15a a follow up call was made to the office to see when the service technician might arrive. The service manager told us they were within a couple of miles. At 9:40a a call was made to the service manager and we asked to speak with owner. Mr. Berry was rude to my wife. She told us that we should not expect a 30 minutes service window, and in the future to expect a 3 hour service window.
Mr. Berry also told my wife that their service was better than most in the HVAC business. If Mr. Berry is acceptable of poor performance and sets his bench marks low, then I guest he is comformtable delivering poor / questionable performance.

Serviceman explained everything; provided tips to maintain unit's efficiency.

They staff was very pleasant and cooperative. They also seemed to do a good job. They came on time and did everything we expected.

They come when they say they will. They do a good job. They don’t try to sell me things I don’t need. They are honest and reliable. I would recommend other people to use them.

Air conditioning quit working. Wasn't quite sure what it was. Since our unit is approx 25 yrs old, we thought we were going to have to buy a new unit. After calling a company recommended by a friend.. to which we got no response, we called several others. Mand F was the only one who was going to be able to come out same day. They said they'd be there between 11a - 1p. Pleasantly surprised when they showed up at 10.30! After checking several things, he discovered a loose wire where the thermostat was connected. We were thinking that it may have been 'jolted' off during the on/off of the power over the past 2 days. That's my understanding, anyway.

We had Mand F recharge the A/C and they forgot to add the dye twice. They finally found the leak and said we needed to replace the coil. They couldn't get the new lines back through the old run so they had to run them down the face of the brick in a gutter pipe. It took them all day to do a 2 hour job and they left equipment all over including a welding tank in the attic. It took them another trip to get everything right and they never came back for their equipment, even after 3 phone calls.

Moon and Freeman are a great company and they did high-quality work. They are a very customer service oriented company. I am really happy with the air conditioning unit, and it is working perfectly. I would highly recommend this company to others. They were here when they said they would be, and they removed all the parts from our old system so everything was clean and ready to go.
