Home Building
The Builder agreed to a fixed price. However, once we put in a pool that we paid for separately and he realized that we could not walk away from the deal, he started ripping us off. He kept charging us extra for almost everything and substituted inferior products. Then after dragging his feet for months by trying to coerce more money from us to finish the job, he finally agreed to close. However, one month after the closing he filed a mechanic's lien to get even more money from us, even though we had paid him the full agreed price as specified in the purchase contract, overage agreement, HUD-1 and deed. Joesph Harrelson and his mother Nancy Harrelson were some of the most dishonest people I have ever met in my life.
