That left at least 6 of the 20 posts so loose, you could sway them a foot and a half both ways at the top of the post. I am installing a vinyl coated chain link in the back of my yard and he put the ending posts on the side (where chain link would meet both ends) at around a 4 ft difference which would have left my chain link crooked. The spacing between the post ranged from 5'2" - 8' apart (my style fence has post exposed leaving boards between them) So there was no way he could have finish building my fence the way it was supposed to look. He never ran a string from the corner posts, just eye leveled them the whole way down. I don't have enough space here to explains all his lies and talking around the truth. He was "slapping up a pig" and trying to fit us between too many jobs. It only took him 2 hours (precisely) to dig the holes and put up the posts. I have had him stop the job & am asking for a refund (second time). Going through legal issues & getting my $ back.
Description of Work: LIES! All lies! I paid him $1570 to get supplies on Friday. He said he needed it then so he could have supplies ready to go at 7am Tuesday morning (Memorial Day Weekend) Never showed up so I called him at 10am. He stated that he was picking up supplies and coming over. He came over w/ so posts and 6 bags of concrete. He ran the property w/ me and used his foot where he was going to put the post. I mentioned him running the property lines like he said he was going to do. He said he was just going to put them where I wanted him to. He also stated he was going to run a line from corner posts to keep all post in a straight line. HE DIDN'T! Post staggered anywhere from 1"-5" off. He said he uses 80 lbs of concrete per post. He brought 6 bags and used only 3 1/4 on 20 posts. (13lbs per post). He also said he digs the holes out a little b/f pouring concrete. Didn't even bring a shovel or post digger. Poured dry concrete in posts holes and mixed it w/ water when supposed to mix before pouring.
