They're 12 units in this complex and all have the same HVAC but I think mine is noisier. I'm still waiting for Lennox representative to look at the system, but it's been nearly a year and I'm still waiting for Lennox to look at the unit.

It was under manufacturers warranty because it was a new house. It was free of charge. They're very punctual and knew what they were doing. The first year of our house we had numerous problems with the HVAC system but that wasn't their fault. That was the builders fault.

Their price has been excellent. We have no problems with that. They are great as far as punctuality. They are here usually five or ten minutes early from where they tell us they are going to be here. Their work is just first class.

We live in a new building so the house was built about 2 and a half years ago and they are the ones who installed the heating and air system. They've been here several times fixing things, it wasn't installed properly. It's like the venting wasn't done according to the manufacturers guidelines and there were leaks. It wasn't right and we decided that since they installed it and didn't do it correctly, we are not going to call them for any additional assistance. There was no charge because it was all part of the builders warranty thing. I would tell a friend just to keep after them so they get the work done correctly. They should install things according to manufactures guidelines instead rather than their own jury rigging. We had to go through a builders rep to get to them so it sometimes took a while for them to get out here. We weren't dealing with them one on one.

Where do I start, this company has been nothing but good to me. I call, they respond. That is why I insisted when I had a new Sunroom installed and needed a mini-spli to heat and cool it that the contractor use Smiths heating and air. Their waranty service is unsurpassed. Their technicians are the most curteosy and well trained I have come across. The owner takes a personal interset in every job. I have recommended to many and all have nothing but good to say about them. I can not say enough. If you want quality service, a good product, energy efficiency and timely responses this is the contractor to use.

Even after the repair and the system that they specked out and installed in our house, the temperatures in this upstairs area still rise up to 78 degrees when the thermostat is set on 70. They said that the 7+ year old system may need to be replaced, given this age. But never got quote from them for the replacement.

"In the heating and air conditioning industry, it is a standard protocol that labor is not covered under warranty. Also, this protocol is a very common practice in many other industries. Our company does not manufacture the part. Therefore, when there is a defect, the manufacturer pays for the warranty part only. We feel we were more than fair on the price of $950.00 considering we gave you a $246.00 credit, thus bringing your bill to $704.00. We apologize if any information was unclear to you."

Poor analysis of system necessary to effectively heat and cool addition. Poor vent placement. Eight degree difference in upstairs and downstairs temps. Initially person responsible for crew said they could not install two separate thermostats. Came back and installed a second thermostat after extreme temp difference upstairs and downstairs. Had to call them back many times to get work done. Installed system directly on dirt and did not mention that system should be raised to prevent dirt from getting in system until it did not work. Secretary not knowledgeable about my system. Said that eight degree difference was the best I could expect with a heat pump and that it wouldn't cool below a certain point on very hot days. I don't have a heat pump. Then she said they were pretty good about honoring the warranty past the initial year if problems occurring during the warranty ran past the end of the warranty. I want a company that is excellent at standing behind their work. System again not cooling April 2012. Calling a different company.

5 star service. Tech's always show on time as scheduled. Have several friends that also use Smith's Heating and Air with no complaints from anyone. I highly recomend them.
