FENDER MENDER OF N CHARLESTON

Went in to this facility because they were recommended by my insurance company. Was assisted by Josh who was courteous, helpful and professional. They gave me an estimate and we made arrangements to bring the vehicle in the following week. I told them it would be helpful if the vehicle was done before noon the following day. The next day they called at 9am and advised the car would be ready in about 30 minutes. My wife was very happy with the repair, paint match and that they did the work fast. Overall good job.

They made my car look new again after a collision. Part were quickly ordered and the job was done in a timely manner. Paint matched perfectly, and they hired a pin stripe specialist to match my pin stripe. I would recommend them.

Don't waste your time here. They don't want to do the work or your business. I came in last week for an estimate to paint my car over as it is an old car with paint faded and peeling off. The guy in the office did his best to talk me out of doing business with Fender Mender...it's was so unexpected and kinda funny haha. His first response was that all his paint jobs start at $3,500 and that they don't do many paint overs. I was nice but I could tell from his tone and crooked eyes that he just wanted me to go away. I said okay this was my first starting place for estimates so I'm interested. We walked outside and he started to say how backed up they were because of insurance fixes that they were doing so that this job would take at least a couple of weeks maybe months to complete. So when we got to my car, he takes a glance and goes this car is not worth the money to fix because you will never get the return. I was thinking in my head thanks for the free opinion but this car may look factory on the outside but the powertrain is heavily modified with a performance engine/transmission swapped from a long time ago/still runs great and that I will keep for a while as a daily driver so it's worth it to me. He even said, and quot;if this was my car, I would not spend the money.and quot; After looking over the car, his estimate started to go up by a thousand and then more and more. I just knew that I would not get a quality job even if I spent the money here as they did not want to do the job at all, so I thanked him and left. The impression that I got here was that the insurance claims business at this location is sooo good that they only want to stick with that and not do walk in work....go figure.

I would recommend them to others. They were very courteous. It took a little bit longer than they indicated. The price was good. I will use them in the future if needed. They matched the paint perfectly.
