d notService provider arrived on 10/18 to repair defrost thermostat on refrigerator unit. All parts were present, as I had ordered them prior to moving across the country with the military. I didn't have time to fix the refrigerator myself, so my ex-property manager called Appliance Service Center to complete the repairs no later than 10/29, due to the renting tenant moving in on that date.The repair man told me that he would have to order all new parts. Not having the time to argue with him on the phone in the middle of my move (and the fact that the parts only cost me $15), I agreed.The following week, on 10/21, I had called the service center back to check on the status of the parts and was informed that it could take 2 weeks to arrive from a town 2 hours away. I offered to pay for overnight shipping. Angie, the receptionist I spoke to on the phone, assured me that the parts would be in by the following Monday (10/24) and the repair would take place on 10/25. I called again on 10/24 to find out that the parts had not yet arrived. Again, I offered to pay for expedited shipping and explained that the repair needed to be done by 10/29. Again, I was assured the part would be in on Tuesday (10/25). This happened daily until 10/27, when finally, the part was due to arrive on 10/28. It did. The part came in, but now the technician couldn't make it out to the house until 10/29. The repair took place the morning that my new tenants were moving in.The following Monday, I called the service center to make payment, as they had not called to inform me the repair was completed. The tenant called me on 10/29 after the technician had left. I paid by credit card over the phone and was told I would receive an invoice in my email.Two days later, on 11/2, I called again, after seeing the payment had been deducted from my account, but no invoice had shown up in my email yet. Angie told me she sent it - and would reluctantly send it again. Three hours later, she called me to tell me that she had misplaced my email address (even though she claims to have emailed me once) and got it from me again.The whole process was disorganized, untimely and ultimately a hassle for me. Had I not hounded them constantly, my refrigerator may have never been repaired. I won't be sure if the repair lasts for at least another month - as the refrigerator doesn't tend to frost up in winter months, but I don't have high hopes.
