We paid them the deposit of $500 and they came out did the framing.  After that they stopped returning phone calls and did not complete the work.  I am very disappointed and not only am I out $2500 the framing they did do was incorrect.

Although a small job, they replied immediately and were out to my house ready in a few hours. Did a good job and hauled away dirt for me too.

A1 concrete gave me an estimate and shared their website info. I spoke to a previous customer and inspected their driveway. Everything appeared to be acceptable. They insured me they had plenty of helpers to get the job done. They removed old clutter and completed grading with my supervision.  The day they poured the concrete began as planned. However, as the day progressed it became obvious the three of them could not keep up with the drying concrete. I tried to help with covering surroundings, rinsing tools, and several other jobs. They ordered too little concrete. Then they incorrectly measured, and ordered another truck that fell a yard short of needed concrete. The worst part was when the fourth truck dumped the last yard in place it was a mess from the previous trucks cleaning out there. This was very disappointing. While most of the driveway was drying before neccessary care/finishing could be performed, we stood there until long past dark watching it not dry. A1 did not offer a discount and expected to be paid in full and in cash. I admit I am pretty picky about home projects but I know my driveway could look better.

I had just purchased my home in April and was told by my insurance company my insurance would be cancelled if I didn't get the driveway and sidewalk replaced.  Unfortunately, I never received their first letter so by the time I was notified, I only had 10 days. I received three bids; one for $2400, one for $3200 and this one for $1800.  Cost was definitely the deciding factor but I'm happy we chose A-1.  They were able to come out that week and had it completed the same day.  Although the original driveway was much thicker than anticipated and fill dirt had to be purchased, A! honored the originally quoted price without question.

However, when I arrived home on the day of the pour, Tavius was not there. Ellis Concrete was and the patio had a severe slope. They poured it like a driveway just following the slope of the land. It has a 10" drop from the back door to the end of the 22' patio and causes vertigo as you walk on it. It is dangerous! Industry standards call for 1/8" slope per linear foot and so it should only slope 2 3/4". I paid him half of what he proposed and withheld any further payment until they returned to fix it. I stretched a line of twine from the door to the end of the patio to show Tavius the slope and asked him if he had determined this slope before he poured. He had not. He is unprofessional and does not know the proper method for framing a job and preparing a job before the pour. He now does not return my calls. I will have to pay someone else to take out what he poured and then do it correctly. I will probably have to take him to small claims court. I will update this evaluation if he in fact returns my call, but the most I would allow him to do at this point is break out the concrete he poured and haul it all away so that I can hire someone else to do it correctly.

They did a real good job and I'm very happy with them. I was real pleased with the work they did. They did what they told they were going to do. They did a good job. I met two guys and they both were real good. They respected the property. It was not a big job that they were for months and days. I didn't really do the comparison; but I thought it was pretty price.
