A year ago Tim Arbisi tuned our piano, I wrote a review then dated May 16, 2018. Tim scheduled the next annual tune-up a year hence, and right on time he showed up. From my experience contractors who work in your home don't do that, so conclude that his promise is his bond which significantly differentiates him from others who work in your home. I'm not going to repeat my observations of his chattiness, his professionalism, and just overall being an interesting person in this review as I've already done that. So here are some new tidbits that might help you decide on using his company. He has been selected by those at The Bell, The Imperial, The Miller, James Brown Theater as the go-to guy for tuning the pianos used by acts coming to those venues. Think Bob Dillon, Judy Collins, etc. Tim proudly stated he has picked up 2 more states and has over 1,000 clients. You might think with doing a piano tuning for Bob Dillon or a fancy Steinway Grand for somebody on The Hill in Augusta GA, that he would be less than enthusiastic about tuning your Baldwin upright (that's our piano). Nothing could be further from the truth. Tim conveys that you are the most important client on his plate when he is in your home. That is a rare behavior. I look forward to a year hence for our 3rd annual tuning. His price went up $10.00 from 2018, but I consider the investment well spent.

Tim Arbisi arrived a day early at the scheduled time as he was in the area, and very efficiently tuned our 1970s vintage Baldwin upright. Your imagined vision of a piano tuner working in silence is dissolved with Tim who kept up a banter that described how he got into the business, how he tunes the piano, his rhythm guitar hobby and entertaining piano tuning stories of other clients and instruments (ask him about tuning an antique square grand piano or how he acquired 2 Steinway Parlor Grand Pianos which are for sale). Certainly if you desire to leave him alone to tune your piano, he will be OK with that, but I found his described process and his piano tuning stories fascinating. After just an hour, our piano was not that out of tune and had no serious problems (he does repair and completely rebuild pianos), he scheduled our annual tuning a year hence as he intends to be in our area. Owing to many positive reviews on Facebook, his "territory" ranges from Florida to North Carolina and the Atlantic Coast and Western Georgia. He said he really could provide services anywhere as he has a client who owns a plane and has offered to fly him anywhere (one of his fascinating stories). I highly recommend the Piano Doctor and Tim Arbisi for any of your piano servicing needs.
