In the past 28 years, we have financed 10 vehicles through SRP. This was the first time they have ever denied us an auto loan. We applied for another signature loan to pay medical bills and were also turned down. Their slogan is "At SRP, we make it possible" Well, they need to change it to "At SRP, we make it impossible!" They built their new mega bank building this year so I guess they have forgotten the "grassroots" efforts of those of us that have funded them over the years. We got an auto loan through SunTrust Bank at an excellent rate with no problems! GOOD-BYE SRP, WE DON'T NEED YOU ANYMORE!!
Description of Work: My husband and I have been members at SRP for over 28 years. We applied for an auto loan at SRP in February of 2010. We were turned down for the first time in 28 years because SRP wanted a large down payment to finance the vehicle. Our credit score is in the high 700's and our credit is fine. Our annual salary is over $100K per year. No credit problems, but still turned down without large down payment.
