Have used him four times, first three times went well with good quality work, but he is very difficult to pin down on times and he often underestimates times, has to come back, forgets to call you back. The last time we had a long talk about what was expected and when he would do it, but he came on a different day when no one was home and set his crew out working then left. They DID NOT do the job as we had discussed and caused damage in the process. Left equipment in my yard and disappeared without finishing cleanup. called Jim to have him come by because there was damage and I was not satisfied, but he did not come. Came by a month later to get paid and retrieve his equipment. I asked for a 13% discount to compensate for the damage and irritation of a poor job for a repeat customer but he got angry and only offered a minimal discount that didn’t even cover repair parts for damage. I paid him but will never use him again. He also yelled at me as he was leaving, apparently angry that I had asked for a price reduction, and has obvious anger management issues. Be warned.

They requested an $800 deposit, I'm not paying until everything is finished. They came 2 1/2 hours later than they said they would. They didn't finish in one day so had to come back. They put a hole in my roof and broke a water line. I think the workers are very good but the boss was obnoxious. When they broke my water line for the sprinkler system they had covered the cut off with debris so I couldn't turn the water off right away. The boss said he'd go and pick up what we need to fix that, we live just a few miles from a Lowe's and Home Depot, he returned in 2 1/2 hours and it was after dark. His employees were just standing around outside waiting. All they did was stop the water from going through the broken line and did not fix it so I can run water through it. The hole in my roof is still not fixed and is covered by tarp, the blue tarp looks horrible.

It was late in the afternoon when he came over to do it, so they were only there for 45 mins before it got dark, so I didn't see the work they did until the next day. He didn't even do half of the job. I called him on the phone and said that the yard was supposed to be completely clean but it absolutely wasn't, he said that because of "wildlife" he wouldn't want to clean parts of the yard. I said that was unacceptable so he said he would come back in 4-5 days. Two weeks went by and he still hadn't showed up, he said, "well I never said WHEN I would show up." I asked for half a refund since he did half the work, and he curtly said that he doesn't do refunds.

They did what they said they would and removed the tree.

The guy was super sweet.  He is really good.  We worked out something with him because we had to pay deductible when we pay through insurance.  He added the deductible to the payment or something where it didn't have to come out of our pocket.  They had to protect the roof, remove the debris, and cut the trees up.  They were very punctual.  It all worked out in the end when they deposited our insurance and deposited the check into our a/c.  We really didn't have to come out with anything out of pocket.  He added the deductible to the cost.  We took the deposit and paid it to the insurance.  He was trying to help us out.  He was awesome.  If I have any more trees stuff, worked on or removed, then they are definitely on my list to call.  He was very professional and very nice.  He was on time.  As a matter of fact, the crew came out in the middle of the night, kept the roofing and cut the tree down.  It was already dark.  They were here to make sure the roof is not damaged and it is taken care of.  We called them in their emergency after hours number and they came within an hour of us calling them.  I understand the reason they are expensive and it was worth the price of coming out.  We had rain two days later.  The tree didn't damage the roof, but damaged the edges.  It just fell on the roof and we had some internal damage.  They did a wonderful job patching the roof up.

They cut down the trees and left EVERYTHING! Every pine needle, pine cone, stumps and all 3 trees were left in my yard. I've had to pay another company about $800 to come and cut it up and take it to the environmental dump. Sam represented himself to my husband and myself as the owner, which he was not. I called the real owner and he said he'll make it right and get it cleaned up. I told him I would be happy to pay to have it done but i just wanted it gone. It's been 4 weeks since he told me he would clean it up and still no sign of them. I strongly would never recommend this company.

Job went well and on time.

JB Tree Service did an excellent job for a great price.  They arrived almost a week earlier than originally told (following a call to us to make sure that was alright), ended up taking down 3 trees instead of 2 and hauled away all the debris.  On top of that they cut down 2 additional dead trees - with the understanding the trees would just be felled and not hauled off - at no additional charge. Very professional, excellent work, great clean up for a great price.
