It did not go well.  He didn’t honor the terms of the deal. The work that he performed was substandard. I would not use this company again.

Overall not the best experience.
Work was to be done on an hourly basis because he really didn't want to give me an exact price because he did not know how long it would take.  He insisted that I pay them for the days work before they started to work. 
The owner was VERY confident that they would do a fast and excellent job.  As the day continued he repeated rang the doorbell for me to come out and make sure they were doing it right.  During each chat we had the was again sure to tell me how great his company was and told me about other work they do.  At the end of day one they left about 30 minutes earlier than they said they were going to.  At that point I felt like they had taken a little longer than I expected.
On day two the second man was dropped off at my house and he just sat and waited for the owner to come back for about 1/2 hour.  I believe I was charged the full hourly rate for that time, plus I had to point out that they left 30 early the day before.  Again I had to pre-pay for the day even though it really only should have taken them 2 hours or so to finish.  I had to go out several times this day and re-explain what I wanted done.  I had to ask them more than once to stop doing work I didn't ask them to do and finish the job I hired them to do.  At one point I finally cut them off and said okay looks good and told them I was happy they were finished.  Owner asked me if they could do more odd jobs.  I said no let's just work out how much time you spent today and you can refund the money I prepaid that was not used.  He then told me that most people would just let him keep it.  (around $100).  I told him that I was not able to do that and he gave me the money. 
Overall he talked to much.  He worked hard at first and then as the job was nearing the end he did EVERYthing he could to stretch it out. Even his other man apologized for his odd behavior and said he thought they should have been done over an hour ago.

I appreciated his work and friendly attitude, but would probably not continue with him as trimming, weed pulling, etc. are considered extras and not part of the package. 
His basic lawn maintenance plan includes mowing, blowing, and bagging.

He cuts the lawn very well.

OVERALL A GREAT EXPERIENCE. HE CAME PROMPTLY AND STARTED RIGHT TO WORK. HE WORKED REALLY HARD IN THE INTENSE HEAT. HE ASKED IF HE COULD LEAVE TO GET LUNCH AND HE RETURNED PROMTLY AS PROMISED. HE HAD ME SURVEY THE YARD AND HE FIXED SMALL AREAS OF CONCERN BEFORE I PAID HIM. HE HAS ALL THE TOOLS HE NEEDS TO DO THE WORK-ITS KINDA NICE TO SEE THINGS DONE THE OLD FASHIONED WAY SO YOU DONT FEEL LIKE THEY ARE TRYING TO GET DONE FAST THE EASY WAY AND YOU ARE PAYING FOR EXPENSIVE EQUIPMENT. I HAVE USED SERVICES THAT HAVE THE BIG RIDING MOWERS AND THE ATTENTION TO DETAILS WERE LACKING.

The story is always the same.  I call and within a few hours  talk to the owner about the job scope.  We arrange a visit to look over the scope and negotiate a price.  The work is always performed as promised and  the owner always does just a bit more to ensue the yard looks great.  As you can tell I have used this service more than once.  There are only two contractors i would leave my unlocked home with and this is one.

Overall he did a good job but took too long to finish the job.  Every thing was done by hand.  He worked hard during the hottest days.  I would suggest he fix his riding lawn mower and use it.  He could have completed my yard in one day and could have mowed/trimmed many more yards  and made more money in the week that he took to complete my yard. The price was way too much.

I was really uneasy dealing with this individual.  He kept leaving and coming back.  Even though I felt uneasy dealing with this individual, I must say the quality of work of his work was excellent.  I wanted to get a couple of tree branches that were on my roof removed but he didn't have a ladder.  I suggested he could use my ladder, but finding out that if he gets on the roof he would require a "danger cost", I left that one alone.  Heck, he wouldn't have had to get on the roof, just stood on the ladder to reach the branch because the branch was at the end of the roof line.  He'd knock on the door several times to ask me what time it was and I also provided him water.  What I thought would be a one day job, turned into two days because of the going back and forth.        

After 5 months of trying to get somebody, ANYBODY to replace the yard service we lost last Spring a friend suggested Angie's list. He knew that we were frustrated with companies and individuals comming and promising to work on our yard just to show up once or twice to...cut the grass. Or at times not coming back but calling to tell us that our yard is too much work, it's too complicated with edges, pool, porches, etc. I found Mr. John's number on Angie's List day after I signed up for the service. I saw the reviews of his work and called him. That same day, within two hours, he came and gave me an estimate on the yard's initial clean up and maintenance. He came the next day, as promised. To make the long story short he cleaned up our yard after 5 months of neglect. He worked for several hours and left the yard, bushes, edges, ornamental grasses, walkways looking perfect. He spend a lot of time trimming the ivy and was carefull around the pool. The effect was fenomenal for two full weeks. He came back after two weeks, as scehduled, for a regular maintenance appointment and did a very good job as well. I recommend his service to all busy yard owners! John is professional, efficient, and clearily knows what he is doing.

I called this morning to get an estimate and he asked if I would be home all morning. He said that he would be over in about an hour and a half. He came over on time and was very professional and courteous. He talked to me about what I would like to have done. He took a look at my entire yard and explained what he felt needed to be done. He gave me a fair and reasonable price. He said that he could do it today, he would just need to go home and get his equipment. He came back and spent about five hours in "100" degree weather working non stop. He was not in a hurry to get finished. You could tell that he wanted to make sure the job was done right! He did a GREAT job!!! My husband values a nice looking yard and was very pleased with the results! We will continue to use his company for all of our lawn and yard work needs!!!

He's really friendly and reasonably priced. We spend about $40 every two weeks, so the price listed is what we spend a month. We will continue to use them in the future.
