B&E installed both of my HVAC units and I think several years ago this may have been a good company. My 5 ton downstairs unit went out in January while still under warranty. It was out for over a week with B&E making four different trips to repair it. 1st trip Mr. Morgensen pulled a small low voltage fuse out and left. Said he did not have the part with him. Second trip, Michael put the fuse back in and changed a relay (part under warranty) . Charged me $308 labor. Still didn't work. Third trip Michael swapped wires around on the thermostat and said the wire needed to be changed on the thermostat. Still didn't work. Fourth trip, two other men, likely trainees, came out and changed thermostat wire. They left saying they could not get it to work. B&E called me and said Michael and Mr. Morgensen would be out the following day to figure out the problem. I told them not to bother and I called another company. The other company came out and the two men found a bare wire shorting out on the compressor (blowing the low voltage fuse) and the new thermostat wire B&E put in was wired wrong. It took them just over two hours to make the repairs.

Fairly well. The installation crew busted two bricks on our front porch steps and left some trash around the units & in our yard.

Roy and Chris arrived on time went right to work. They had to go up in the attic so I told Roy to leave the ladder down when he was finished because I had to remove some things. He was kind enough to offer to do that for me which I thought was very nice. They cleaned and leveled the outside unit . Leveling took some time but they managed to get it done. He then gave me a detailed receipt so I could give it to the real estate attorney for closing. I would definitely use them again.

It works! They had to come back a second time because there was a wire that sat on metal and it arched. They had another guy come out right away and fixed it and we haven't had a problem since. The response time was really good too. They were really nice and friendly.

On 7/19/13 I noticed our air conditioning was not working. There had been a storm the previous night so I suspected possible lightning damage.I used Angie s List to find a good AC service provider. I saw where Band E Heating and Air seemed to be well rated. We contacted them and a very courteous young lady took my information and assured me a technician would respond ASAP. Less than 2 hours later the Band E technician, Chris Moseley, responded and examined our system. He seemed puzzled by the amount of difficulty required to get the metal cover off my High Voltage Disconnect Box. When he finally did manage to get it open he showed me that the wiring inside had actually melted into a single mass. It was completely ruined. He performed a few more checks of this box, the control board for the condensing unit and the air exchange unit in my attic. Upon completion of these checks the Tech informed me that both the voltage disconnect and the control board for my system must be replaced. He further stated that these parts must be ordered and shipped and that it would be 6 days before the system could be repaired. I asked for a price estimate and he said it would be about $450.00 It was 90 degrees inside my home at that point and I asked was there any other way to obtain the parts sooner, perhaps from another local supplier. He said no one kept that control board on hand or could get it in any sooner. He then recommended that since the system came with my new home that I contact the contractor that installed it. i explained that the warranty with them had just expired. He reiterated that I should try and get them to repair the damage, stating that lightning might not be the cause, perhaps it had been installed incorrectly. I again told him that they had no obligation because their warranty had expired and that I had tried to contact them without success, hence my call to Band E. He seemed to not be interested in pursuing resolution of my repair because I had to ask when he would follow up and finish the repairs. He stated that since this was a Friday that nothing could be ordered until Monday, with the part arriving on Wednesday. I asked was there anything else that could be done, since this was a long time to endure indoor temps of 90 degrees. He said nothing more could be done and said I should call his company to follow up. He charged me $55.00 for the service call, apologized that he couldn't do any more for me and left.
My wife and I felt that we had to try at least one more provider to see if we could get a better, more prompt resolution to our dilemma. We called another well-rated Angie s List provider, Wayne's Service-All. They responded quickly, Mike, the Tech, agreed that the high voltage disconnect box must be replaced but found that the control board was working fine. In addition he found a wire that had been left disconnected on the exchange unit in the attic. He also determined that our thermostat was damaged as well, something not even mentioned by the Band E Tech. He repaired the box, replaced the thermostat, ran a check of the whole system and we had AC about 20 minutes later. Mike was classy enough not to and quot;Badmouthand quot; the Band E tech, but it was obvious that, at the very least, he had misdiagnosed the problem and had possibly been less than thorough with his work. Curiously, I never received a followup call from Band E despite the fact that their tech knew that the job still needed completion. Perhaps this is a good company and I just had a unique experience with a sub par employee. Unfortunately, I'll never know, because my experience with Wayne's Service-All was so good i will not chance them or others again. While Band E was a let down, I still feel that this was a positive Angie s List experience. No system is perfect and my end result was so favorable that overall I'm happy. Wane's fixed my AC for $117.00. His original estimate was approximately $200.00. He billed me by mail, with 30 days to pay! he was polite, professional and left the exact opposite impression I got from Band E Heating And Air. Thanks, Angie!

"My name is Michael I own B & E heating and air I am not at all happy with this post. I have worked very hard to have a great company that can and will repair anything in a timely manner. I will have to fix this issue I wish I would have been told about this because I would have resolved the problem I am a hands on owner. I do try to make sure all jobs are complete but I missed this one. I do apologizes for this."

I called at about 10 am on a monday. I was expecting to hear that it would be maybe wedsday or thursday at the earliest. I was very suprised that it would be that same evening. Got a call from corey to let us know he was running a little late and was on the way. I wasn't expecting a service call late in the evening. Corey showed up at about 930pm which i was happy with. He got the system recharged and blowing cold. It was about 1030pm before he left. I believe B.and E values their customers needs and time to meet their service call times. I would highly recommend Band E to any one that asks. I was very pleased with them.

Our AC stopped blowing cool air at the start of the dog days of summer. I found a bunch of AC repair companies on Angie's List, but Band E Heating and Air were the only ones who could come out late on a Friday afternoon. I ended up scheduling it for Saturday afternoon anyway, but I want to emphasize that they did not charge a weekend service fee, unlike every other company I spoke to.
Their service provider (Cory) arrived on time and was courteous and knowledgeable about my home's AC system. He went outside to see the unit, came back 15 minutes later, and presto! Cool air came rushing back inside the house just like that.
Highly recommend their service to anyone in the Augusta area. I will definitely call them again if I ever have another AC or heating problem.

I contacted Band E Heating and Air and spoke with Michael Morgensen. He was very polite, professional and knowledgeable about the services that I needed. I requested his company to install an new central heating and air system and to repair our current duct work in the house. Unfortunately, Mr. Morgensen informed us that in order for our house to be more efficient and cooler he would need to redesign the duct system. Mr. Morgensen told me the modifications that he would need to make and why it would be more efficient that way. I agreed to the work and am absolutely GLAD that I listened to him! Mr. Morgensen was here that weekend and originally told us that it would be a three day job. He was completed with the job in two days!! They had to tear out the old system with was 32 years old, the original system in the house, and run new line sets, new duct work, the whole 9 yards... His people were very professional and polite. The respected my house by laying down tarps to cover the floors and used shop vacs to clean up the sheet rock dust as they were working. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone who is even remotely inquiring into a new system.

Very well. Nothing to complain about. The unit they suggested to us fit our house just right. One little detail is that when we want to keep our own thermostat, they just deducted the cost of a new one they provided from the total cost without a question. Overall, they are very honest and professional people, who can do the job right at a very fair price.

They arrived on time and completed the exchange in six hours. My Daughter now has a yearly service agreement with Band E for $100.00 per year. This is $50.00 a year less than the average for Augusta.

I was present during the installation. They were very courteous and explained things to me in detail when I asked questions.

Our 18-year old AC in our house just decided to stopping working during this hot summer. I got a few estimates from different local AC companies and could not decided on any of them since the costs are all pretty high. But then I was fortunately enough to asked a friend who changed her AC not very long ago and was referred to Mike of Band E. I got the lowest quote with the same warranty as other companies and he even offered me a 10% discount off the already lowest price. We decided to let Mike do the job. Everything after that is very simple and straight-forward. The technicians are polite, professional and efficient. Everything was done flawlessly. Mike was also willing to work with me on my payment using credit card and splitted the additional cost. Would give them a A+++ if there is such option. Definitely will recommend them to my friends.
