 + -1 moreGreat prices but not the most professional work. Did not cover furniture or close doors while sanding/refinished hardwood floors. Took longer than stated. But overall, finished product looked good.

Description of Work: Whitaker sanded, stained and applied 3 coats of polyurethane to all the hardwood flooring in our house including one stairway (~1300 sqft). They also removed, refinished and reattached the shoe molding. The work was done prior to us moving into the house and we were not present. Whitaker started earlier than we thought (good for our schedule) and finished in the estimated time (~1 week). We received regular status updates via e-mail. | |We had the floors refinished due to severe color discoloration from sun damage. Whitaker recommended a medium stain and used a satin poly at our request. The sanding and staining eliminated all the discoloration. The floors look great and we are very pleased with the results. We would definitely recommend Whitaker for floor refinishing.

 + -1 moreWhitaker's was very helpful in working with us through a difficult period, since the damage was much more extensive than just the flooring. They had to closely coordinate with other subcontractors because the required sequence of repairs did not allow them to come in and do the job start to finish. They were extremely cooperative in meeting our requirements and flexible when they needed to be. The minor touch up required at the end was done willingly and well. This is not the only business we have done with this company, and they were selected because of good experiences in the past.
Description of Work: We had water damage to an extensive section of the flooring. The damaged subflooring was removed by another company and Whitaker's replaced the sections removed, plus replaced the entire existing laminate floor. We also had the same laminate flooring installed in another area of the house..

 + 0 moreThey left the black glue for the flooring all of the walls and the trim. They even left little bits of the carpeting underneath the carpet so that every time we walk on the carpet we can feel it under our feet. We would not use them again nor would we recommend them.
Description of Work: We hired them to install carpeting for the whole downstairs flooring. They installed four rooms of carpet and two rooms of vinyl flooring.
