Fulmer Heating and Cooling installed a new unit in my home last Fall. They were very quick to respond and extremely professional throughout the entire process. The new unit they installed at my house was not only very fairly priced, but has also helped cut my energy bill in almost in half! I am so thankful for the work Fulmer did for me, and recommend them highly to anyone who has heating and cooling needs.

Although diagnosis was difficult due to improper modifications made to the ducts by the previous homeowner & contractor, Fulmer stayed on the job until the problems were found and corrected. Many service companies faced with a puzzler like this would just say the system was working the the best it could and would walk away from the problem. I highly recommend Fulmer to others.

I am very disappointed that Dave Carson does not take responsibility for his employees. My car was damaged during the install of a new A/C unit. They Stacked metal directly in front of my car and scratched the front bumper but claim it could not be from them. Stated that "it could have come from anywhere, rocks crack the windshield on my trucks going down the road all the time." I will NEVER give this irresponsible, dishonest company my business. Along with scratching my car they did not show up for the first 2 appointments without any notification and left the natural gas line loose after installing the new unit inside.

The downstairs gas pack and the upstairs heat pump were both installed in the last few years. Both units work great and were very efficient. We had consistently lower utility bills than some of our neighbors in both winter and summer. Warranty work was handled at no charge. The only warranty claim was a problem with squirrels not the equipment.

It was $7600, it was a Carrier. It was giving us $500 electric bills and that is why we said, we better check if it was heating as well as it should and it was costing so much. They are generally very straightforward. They deal with some of the higher priced units but I think it is because they last long. We have been here 30 years and have only had to replace two. In fact the other one that I am thinking about replacing, I think was here when we moved here. So they put in good quality products that seem to last.

They notify me when they are coming out, I don’t have to remember to get them out here twice a year, they do it automatically, and they are pretty reliable doing that. Their responsiveness is excellent, whenever I have something go down and I call them, they are here within a few hours.

I was given a verbal price for the work of $200 (maybe a little more or less depending on materials). When I received the bill it was almost $400 with no itemization. I returned the bill and told them that I required an itemized listing.
Bottom line: they padded my bill. They added a trip fee and put the connecting of a box on the materials list instead of including it in the labor. I subtracted the trip fee and sent them a check with a letter stating that the amount on the check was all that I was going to pay. I received a voice mail from them that was very rude.
I found the owner to be very rude and arrogant. A trip fee was never discussed. I was charged for the trip to my home and the trip back to the shop. I am only 10-15 miles from their shop.
I will NEVER hire them again.
