After a visit to assess the problems, a bid and scheduling, the crew arrived early and began removing all the old ductwork, stacking it in the yard to await later removal.  The crew began constructing the new main trunk ductwork in the yard, sealing and taping the junctions, wrapping and securing insulation around the segments before moving them into position and installing them. Individual distribution (flex) lines to the vents were installed and secured.



Inside the house, a large, new return vent was constructed through a wall into bottom of the closet and into the return ductwork system.  The new return increased existing return vent area by a factor of three and was done so that it would not intrude into the normal look and operation of our home.



After the installation was completed (about 10 hours), all construction areas in the house were completely cleaned up.  The stacks of old ductwork in the yard were removed, that stacking area was raked to removed scraps of sheet metal and insulation and the home and surrounding area was restored to normal appearances.



The change to the conditioning of the home was remarkable - running time and noise level greatly reduced.  We are really pleased.
