They are wonderful and we like them very much. They turned the job around in 20 minutes. They were very good and did not overprice us. They took care of the problem at hand and diagnosed the problem for free. This company also did not try to upsell us on any additional work. Their pricing was better than anyone else we called so I recommend them.

Response from The Cheap Geek
"We have over 50 positive reviews on the internet. This is the 1st negative one. To read some of our other reviews google search - The Cheap Geek 29577 reviews First let me thank the member for validating our work. We spent over 24 hours working with her laptop and only charged her $28. We are, indeed, The Cheap Geek. However, neither we nor she, the customer, could replicate the problem with the laptop while it was in our shop. The member claimed her laptop screen would flicker and shut down after some time in use, so we set it up to run a DVD on an endless loop to keep it working hard. Including overnight. We saw no flicker & no shut downs after 24 hours of constant hard use. And we did get a voice mail message from the member some time later. She did not call us "as soon as she got home" when the problem happened again. The member called us 9 days later to claim we scratched her laptop. (No word on whether she has had it fixed.) She did not asked to be called back. How does one respond to such an erroneous & belated claim? The laptop sat open & in the same spot the entire time it was in our shop so we could keep an eye on it at all times. It was never moved. The lid was never down. Clearly, any scratches occurred at another time. Perhaps sometime during the 9 days between the member picking up her laptop and calling us?"
