TAMROC KENNELS

They always get the most tender care of any kennel you could choose. One of our dogs needs medications and I know they are very consistent with giving her the meds. They are clean and happy when they return home.

I have always used them in the past based on the excellent reviews they have received here and other places. I have never had a problem. However, this time when I picked both my dogs up they were scratching some but i thought well someone came in with a flea issue it happens no big deal. It was so much worse. I treated my dogs for fleas early with their prescription strength flea meds. No result and my Shih began to loose hair in massive clumps. I returned to the Kennel because frankly I thought they had picked up a mange mite. Which are easy for the kennel not to notice. I was still thinking very positive about my kennel experience at this moment and returned thinking that they would help and be proactive. I went without my dogs to speak to them and express my concerns.
 I was not asking for my kennel fee to be returned was I did ask for was that their onsite vet to check my dogs and if their skin condition was something that was picked up at the kennel they provide treatment at the kennels expense. I should mention that the Vet is related to the kennel owners. Well, when I expressed my concern to them, not only were they not surprised they asked what did I expect them to do. I told them what I expected them to do and woman looked at me and said They did not get it here and I can't help you. She told me a lots of things but it all generally came down to too bad you are out of luck. She said you have no proof your dogs are even sick. Well no, I was here asking for your vet to take care of this....
I went to my vet who said it was not mange and had to sent out skin samples and two weeks later diagnosed early ringworm which is highly contagious and thrives in kennels. He went on to say that i had caught the infection very early my dog probably had the infection for 4 to 6 weeks. Today makes the 6th week since I took them to the kennel..I have spent easily another 300 dollars and that is just the Shih Tzu's bill. Frankly this is not about the money its about the health of my dogs 
I would not be writing this negative review except I went to the kennel and gave them a chance to take care of me. They could not be bothered to handle it when it would have cost them very little. I was so disappointed in that behavior. I truly thought because they were family run meant they had a higher standard than most. Sadly I was mistaken

I have been happy with my experiences at Tamroc Kennels. They charge according to the size of the dog. My dog is around 20 lbs and the cost is $19 per night for her size.They do offer extras such as grooming but I have not utilized those services.I usually call ahead and a couple of times it has been short notice. Tamroc has accommodated me and my dog every time I have called to make a reservation. The staff is very friendly. The reason I gave a B for professionalism is only because it has a very casual feel (the staff attire for example)so if someone is expecting a brand new kennel or lots of bells and whistles this is not it. The previous place I boarded my dog (out of state) allowed the small dogs and big dolls to "socialize". This is probably the only thing Tamroc does not offer that I wish they had- but I can understand that could be an issue. My dog is not the friendlist to other people but everytime I bring her to Tamroc she is jumping and licking on all of the staff so I know that she is well taken care of when she is there. This is reassuring to me. They have you provide your dog's food and you can bring pet beds, toys, etc as well (no rawhide). The first time I went there a gentlemen highly recommended Tamroc and had been bringing his dogs there for several years. I have already brought my dog there on several occasions nd so far am very happy with their service.

They are fantastic with the animals. They are very friendly.
