Stone Age Hardscapes

**WE DO NOT RECOMMEND** Last July we hired Cody to install a new patio for us. The tile we chose looks quite different from the tile that was installed. Cody assured us that it would look the same once it cured. That never happened. Shortly after the project was complete, we began to notice several tiles were cracked, the PermaSand wouldn?t hold and a simple paw print can only be washed off with a strong chemical. Initially Cody attempted to make it right by replacing the broken tiles and re-doing the PermaSand but the problems continued. We reached out to Cody numerous times with no response until he finally texted us stating that he was trying to run a company by himself and asked for us to be patient while he works through the frustrations. Six months later and we never heard back! To date, we have several cracked tiles, PermaSand that still comes loose and it is a nearly impossible to clean! Definitely not what we paid for!!!!

Avoid Stone Age Hardscapes at all costs. When searching for a contractor for a rather large job, Stone Age won me over by saying all the right things, their professional website, and online presence. However, do not be fooled. They are a â fly-by-nightâ contractor and will grab your money and run. They came out and did the work to 80% and at which point, demanded an 80% payment. Despite my better judgement, I gave it to them. 3 months later, they still havenâ t been out to finish the work. Iâ ve reached out to them countless times trying to move the project forward and was met with excuses, lack of ownership, and even hostility. Beyond them never finishing the work, their office address isnâ t real, but rather a location of a â pack and shipâ company. When I went inside, the owner confirmed they had an account, but never seen them come into the store. The work they did was not level or plumb, not to code, and caused many issues that I either had to correct personally or hire another contractor for. Furthermore, they are not licensed or bonded in the state of SC. All of this screams â scamâ and I wish I took the time to research them further before I agreed to move forward with them. While my experience cannot be fully captured in a single review due to character limits, I hope this provides an overview so others can avoid making the mistake(s) I did. Donâ t walk away from Stone Age â RUN.
