This roofing experience was definitely a "new age" experience. The workers arrived super early and got to work immediately. Our job foreman, Thad, explained things every step of the way. Pictures were taken throughout the day and sent to us via a project site, which allowed us to see everything that was being done to our rooftop. My dad built our house out of a tobacco barn back in the 80's and the pictures allowed us to see the factory writing on the plywood from the original roof. That was pretty cool! Each step was documented; even the place where rot had gotten into the plywood and was subsequently replaced. They also put up netting to catch the shingles being removed and to protect the lower part of our home. They brought a dumpster in and set up a canopy. The whole process was a unique experience. At the end of the day~with the roof finished~they used big magnets to sweep the area for tacks from the old roofing and finally blew off the driveway. Everything was left in better condition than when they came. These guys are awesome! It was a pleasure to see the teamwork AND the new roof.

They did a pretty good job and fast. Last year I started noticing it didn't patch right. They tried to cover it up with some shingles and the shingles buckle during the summertime. When they came for an inspection after they finish the roof, the guy stated it was the end piece but, we couldn't find it. We have a lifetime roof. We tried to call but, no response at all. I called several times.

The job was GREAT, arrived on time 7:00 am, roof removed, new roof installed, area cleaned and finished 4:30 pm. I had what I thought was a great crew, worked especially good together, did repairs of damage below shingles, minor and left my home in great shape. Note, only 2 nails found so far. Everyone, I mean everyone from Manager to the young person whom picks up the waste trailer, CARES! They are proud of their work and rightfully so live up to every expectation and then some. AWESOME COMPANY!!!!!!! Top notch work, and keeps you informed right from the start. All roofing companies should try to emulate. PERIOD.

After nearly 30 days job is still incomplete. Roofers incorrecting I stalked metal sheeting, damaged siding of the home, left large gaps between roof and metal slats. Both the commercial manager and assistant manager were ineffective in response to our concerns. Neighbor complained about workmen urinating off the rooftop and throwing their lunch left overs and food wrappings into their yard where their dog ate some of the trash and became violently ill.

As a former roofing company owner and being in the business for over 22 years you know who is real and who pretends to be real. Martin and his team are the real deal and they just don’t talk the talk. They are genuine people that care about their customers and the communities that they serve. A diamond in the rough, truly a Rarity in the Roofing Industry. I look forward to seeing the continued Success of Martin and his Amazing Team!

The person Monarch sent to look over the problem with my roof was prompt and courtious. He took his time looking into where the water came into the house and then into the attic. He then went onto the roof and dictated what he found. He was detailed in his response to me said his information would be passed on to someone who would analize the data and send me a report within 2-3 days. The evaluation helped me make a more educated decision.

I called Monarch to request a quote on roof repair following damage due to Hurricane Florence. They contacted me and gave me a date for someone to come out and give me a quote. I was about a month out from the date I called. A worker from Monarch, (Andrew ), contacted me and asked if he could come out today and give me a quote. He immediately changed and said he would come out the next day at 2:00PM and arrived around 4:00PM. He gave me a quote and said he could do the repair the next day on Friday. Zach the other worker with Andrew said they would be here the first thing in the morning. 9 to 10 AM. I presented them with a $385 discount certificate, downloaded from Angie's List. Zach Called Chris to see if the certificate was acceptable. Zach said they would honor the certificate. No one showed up on Friday and promised. I spoke to Chris the Project Advisor for Monarch. He said that they would be out the next day on Saturday in the AM. Once again no one came from Monarch on Saturday. I called Chris again. He said Andrew got sick and could not come. He assured me that he would have a crew out the first thing on the following Monday. On Monday no one from Monarch came again. I called Chris and he said that no one came because he spoke with Andrew and Andrew was not comfortable replacing a Roof Pipe Boot on a roof, (that is one of the most elementary thing to do on a roof repair). He once again assured me that he would call at 7:00AM and would assign a crew to come do the repair the first thing on Tue, the next day. Chris called me as promised and said a crew would be out to do the repairs between 9:00AM and 10:00AM today. At 10:15AM after I received no calls from Monarch and no one showed up I contacted Chris and told him to cancel my job. I contracted another repair service to complete the job. I believe that since I had the $385 certificate from Angie's List, Monarch put my job on the lowest priority of any of their work/jobs, hoping that I would cancel the job. Well they got their wish when I cancelled after they did not show up 4 separate times/days. I took off from work each day, thinking and believing they would be coming as they promised. They caused me to a monetary loss along with lots of frustration and stress. I dislike being lied to. Beware if you have a certificate. ;

After soliciting an estimate from Monarch Roofing, I got calls from three different people at Monarch Roofing's HQ to gather more information and "put me in the system". Each one told me that the "local project manager" would be contacting me to set up an appointment for a site visit and estimate. I told the second and third callers that I had already been contacted by them, but both said I wasn't "in the system" yet, but they were putting me "in the system" as we talked. Two weeks later, I still haven't heard from the "local project manager". I've already had the exterior work done by a different contractor (who showed up the same day to do the estimate, and did the exterior work two days later!). I have no idea about the quality of the work they do, and I'm sure after Hurricane Florence they were very busy if not overwhelmed, but the inability to track who they had contacted, or put me "in the system" after three tries, or follow up with an actual "project manager" is pretty inexcusable.

Waited about 2 weeks for work day. An approximate 10 man crew showed up at 7 am.and stayed until the entire job was finished at 7 pm. My neighbors couldn't believe it was completely done in one day. It's a top notch quality job with no leaks or other problems. The roof looks great. They cost a little more than the other local large companies but they seemed the most professional and I interviewed everyone in the phone book. They are worth it.

Monarch Roofing went above and beyond to secure my leaky roof and expedite my start date to due the problem and the upcoming inclement weather. They even put in a gutter for free after realizing I would need one afterwards due to the slope of the roof. Can not recommend them enough. Class A act !!!!!

There was very poor communication about when the actual job was going to be completed and different people showed up on different days, some didn't speak English so you couldn't communicate with the workers about what was actually done. Overall poor communication and did not call back about questions we had about the repair job.

Had to wait about 2 weeks for scheduled day. When they showed up it was about 10 guys at 7 am. It sounded like WW 2 but they all knew what they were doing and worked as a team. They stayed until it was all finished in one day. The neighbors couldn't believe it. A job well done with a good warranty. I paid more than the other companies estimates but you get what you pay for with Monarch.

I talked to them about a possibility of doing a roof. They were very nice, but their prices were higher, and I have actually selected another roofing company to do the work. I got different bids including different pieces of work. They came out, they had already looked at it through Google Earth or something, and they didn't take much time to look specifically at the roof. They just kind of said, we know what the area is, this is what it would cost to replace it. The company I did end up hiring, went up on the roof, spent some time, gave me some good quality ideas of what was going on with the roof, and what else needed to be done. When I called them they did call back right away, they were fine with that. The guy was on time. I wouldn't have a problem using them. They have done a number of roofs in the neighborhood, and a well know quantity there.

It was ok. I got to give them an call. There is an mistake that I don't like. They were very pleasant, very quick. Did a good  clean up. I think personally one of the finishing details was not done properly, so I will give them an call. I haven't given them the chance to fix it yet. That problem, was there before they left, and I asked them to fix it, and they did not do it properly. They were very pleasant, and very professional, but they left and the job was not done perfectly. I asked them to fix what the problem was, and it wasn't fixed correctly. They were good, just not perfect.

They did an excellent job. They were timely, got it done quickly and did a top notch job. I am very pleased with them and I would highly recommend them.

Our experience went extremely well from dealing with Martin to get estimate and proposal. The process was very easy and professional all at the same time. Martin was very patient in answering all our questions even though we know he was very busy dealing with many who were also affected by Matthew. Monarch sent a crew to secure our roof from further damage until our new roof could be installed. On day that repair was scheduled (about 4 weeks after contract was signed), a crew of 12 arrived and everyone worked in unison to do the job at hand. On 2nd day, 10 men arrived and the job was 95% completed. Skylight had to be special ordered and was delivered and installed the following week as promised. It should be noted that there was additional damage noted under our front porch roof once the old shingles and plywood was removed. We were given a fair and reasonable estimate to repair what was wrong and on the 2nd day, it was repaired without any issues. Men were courteous and worked well together. All shrubs were covered while they worked. They cleaned up the yard each day very well. We couldn't find a stray nail anywhere! We spoke to Mark in the office and he was always helpful. Clint was on site for the entire time as Quality Control and I have to say he was very hands on. He is the one who did the porch repair and did an excellent job at that. We had shopped around with quite a few roofers and no one offered us a 50 year roof or had the reputation that Monarch has. While the cost wasn't the lowest we received, it was NOT the highest either. We are very happy with the job that Monarch provided and will definitely recommend them.

I was very pleased with all the work. All communication with sales and support staff was excellent. I used SC Safe Home to receive a grant and the Monarch staff help make the process very smooth.   They arrived when scheduled and completed when promised. Everything was cleaned-up when finished. I give the entire staff and A+.
