This is the fourth time we have hired MK Painting and Power Washing in the past 9 months. This is the fourth review I am happy to write about this company. I have begun to really rely on the reviews written by others no matter what it is written about; cars, appliances, clothing whatever it may be there is real value to be found from the experiences of others. So it is in that spirit that I write this review of this company. Our experiences with MK Painting have ALL been nothing but positive. From the initial phone call for an estimate to the end of the final day of completion, these men have always been polite, respectable, honest and very skilled professionals. They have painted the interior (5 rooms so far) and exterior of our home. They have also power washed our fencing and deck. They have had to repair the inferior work of a previous less skilled painter. All of their work has been flawless. They are detailed oriented and the pride in their work is evident by the impeccable end product they produce. Would we recommend them to others??? We have hired them 4 times in the last 9 months; enough said.

At the risk of sounding redundant as this is the third review I've written about this painting company in 5 months; all painters are NOT alike and, boy, do I know so. I've been a home owner in many different homes in many states for 36 years. My husband and I have hired dozens of different contractors over the years, some good, some bad and some REALLY bad. Bad as in the painter we hired 2 years ago to paint the exterior of our home. Within a year we were hunting him down to come back and repair the many, many paint blisters and peeling areas he had just painted. All I can say is THANK GOODNESS we have found MK Painting! We have finally found an honest, respectable, professional painter who is a man of his word and takes great pride in his work. His employees mirror his standards. They are, without exception, polite, respectful and skilled professionals. They are all hard working, detailed oriented and their work is impeccable. This may sound familiar as I've written a review of this company here twice before. But the facts remain the same; time after time, we are COMPLETELY satisfied with their work. Would recommend them without reservation and plan to hire them yet again to do interior painting.

Clearly our overall experience with MK Painting both time that we have hired them is a terrific one... one without complaint and only praise.

I have a home with vinyl siding. It was looking a little weathered with green alga and black dirt stains. On the north and west sides it is 3 stories high - too hugh for me to get up there. I needed someone who had big ladders and and wasn't afraid to use them!
MK Painting arrived on time and power washed my house. They worked with me in that they used water I pumped from the lake (My house is on a lake.) rather than use my well water. The house now look brand new! Their service was professional and friendly . A positive experience all around.

Mr. Kaplanis (owner) responded promptly when called for an estimate for our job. He gave us a clear explanation of the work that needed to be done and what the scope of the work involved. The next day he presented to us in person his very professional and detailed estimate and contract which included a description of each step he would take and the products to be used to complete the job. We were extremely impressed by the thoroughness of the estimate and the additional materials that were presented in a folder with it . We interviewed 6 painters for this job and although M.k. Painting and Power Washing, LLC was not the least expensive (nor most expensive) estimate we received but it was by far the most detailed and comprehensive. Coupled with Mr. Kaplanis' in depth knowledge and respectful demeanor we felt confident that he was the contractor for our job. We agreed on a start and finish date and the contract was signed. Matt and his crew were to arrive at 9am on day one and were at our front door at 8:59am. They set up and began work immediately. All furniture was covered with CLEAN (not previously used) new plastic and the rug and hardwood floors covered with clean new paper. Doorways were covered with plastic as not to allow any dust from the extensive sanding to penetrate into adjoining rooms. All of which were removed at the end of each day, the room was vacuumed and dusted and all furniture put back in it's original positions. Each day ( 4 day job) the process was repeated. They worked quietly and efficiently taking only a brief break for lunch. The entire crew was punctual, conscientious, hardworking and respectful of our privacy. The days began at either 8:30 or 9:00 (the time determined the night before) and ended at 5:00pm. Mr. Kaplanis and his crew's work was meticulous and precise , the end result is superlative. Our family room is beautiful with not a single complaint. Our experience with M.K. Painting and Power Washing, LLC was excellent in every respect and ended with a superb job. We would not hesitate at all to refer them to others, in fact we are in the process of hiring him to do more interior painting and also some exterior painting of our home.

Matt responded promptly to an ad I placed online. He sounded professional and knows our area well so I asked him to give us an estimate. He came promptly and delivered the estimate within 24 hours, fully itemized.

Our house was built in the 1860's, so it is hard to find a right angle. Over the years there have been some very poor paint jobs. Matt and his team meticulously prepped and repainted each room with care. The lines are sharp, and they compensated for lots of old work. Matt checked in with me regularly to clarify options and communicated very effectively.

He saved our kitchen. On the advice of a decorator I chose a shade of grey for our kitchen. Matt called from the paint store to tell me he was concerned about the color (based on the other colors we had chosen). We rushed to our local paint store and reviewed the choices with their paint consultant who agreed and recommended a different shade of grey. Matt waited for this process, bought the new color and painted a cabinet door for us to review to be sure we had the shade we wanted. He did a great, great job and the kitchen looks wonderful.His team was articulate, polite, professional and seemed to really enjoy their work.The price for all of this work was only slightly higher than another Angie's List provider estimated for our kitchen alone. The value was excellent.
